We just had a rather disappointing experience at the Lubbock location, we were there for dinner to celebrate my father-in-laws 80th birthday. There were 4 of us for dinner, we ordered our drinks and appetizer, it took a bit for our server to bring our drinks and when she did, she only brought 3 of them, she said she couldnāt carry the other one. Instead of her going back immediately to get our other drink, she waited on 2 other tables. After quite some time of waiting for our other drink, just so happened the manager came around to ask if we were doing alright. We filled him in on what happened and he just kept saying āshe is really busyā, ok we understand that, but she should have completed delivering our drink order before she waited on someone else. He kept making excuses that maybe the keg ran out or something, but we told him again that she said she couldnāt carry it all. A few minutes later, our salads were delivered, we still have not received our appetizer. A little more time passed and a guy delivered our meal, we informed him that we still have not received our appetizer. He apologized and said he would bring it right out and remove it from our bill, we told him at this point we did not want it anymore because an appetizer is supposed to be served before the meal. 2 of us ordered ribs and we had asked for extra bbq sauce, he said he would bring it right out. Soon after our server returned, she also said she could bring us our appetizer and it would be removed from our bill, we told her the same thing, we did not want it at this point because it probably had been sitting there a bit plus we have our food now and yes, it definitively should be removed from our bill. She said āitās been sitting under the heat lampā, making it sound like it would be fine. We told her again we did not want it and remove it from our bill. I asked her for another drink as she was walking away, she acknowledged, she seemed very distraught after that. She apparently told the manager because he came over, we explained it all to him, he said he would remove the appetizer from our bill. Also, the guy who brought our food and was supposed to bring bbq sauce still hadnāt brought it, so we let the manager know that as well, he brought it to us. Some time had passed and I still had not received the other drink I ordered and at this point someone else in our party wanted another drink as well. I tried to get our serverās attention and she flat out ignored me and kept walking past. She was walking past again, this time I said excuse me a little louder to get her attention, she immediately said Iām getting your drink, I informed her that we needed another one as well. We finished our meal and asked for our bill, you would think that after 3 people told us our appetizer would be removed from our bill, that it would have been removed, no it was not! We had to call the manager over once again, he acted surprised that it was still on there, he finally removed it. We were also frustrated because he forced us to use the little payment kiosk, we donāt like using them because they are always nasty gross because they never get cleaned and a lot of times donāt work properly, he told us that was the only way to pay with a card. Our food was delicious, but we will not be returning to this location after our experience tonight. We are not people that try to take advantage to get free things, we just want good quality service and to have an enjoyable meal when we go out to eat, that did not happen at this restaurant tonight and the manager didnāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was in town helping my daughter move and as a token of appreciation she treated me to dinner. The service was awful. Half the drinks came out and by the time the rest of them showed up the glasses on the table were empty. Three of us ordered Caesar salads and one of us ordered chili. Two Caesar saladās and two house salads were brought to the table. I ordered my second crown and sprite but requested that it come in a short rocks glass instead of the pint my first was served in. When the drink came to the table it was in another pint glass. I brushed it off and accepted it. Then the bill came along with the chili thatās was supposed to my daughters appetizer. After looking over the charges we noticed that the crowns I ordered were rang in as doubles and the 2 blue drinks that were ordered were served with additional shooters that were not ordered. I left my daughter to contest the charges and I left and drove directly to Walmart were I noticed my wallet missing. I called road house and asked if it was left at the table to find nothing had been turned in. I raced across town back to the restaurant to look for my self. I asked the server and she couldnāt be less concerned. In fact she used to the opportunity to try and shake me down for more money stating the tab was short. I got the same treatment from the floor manager. I almost got into a confrontation with guest who were now sitting at the table. They didnāt appreciate there dining experience being intruded on. I had just handed my daughter 7000 cash and sheās a corporate manager at twin peaks. Iām 100% positive she didnāt short the check. Iād put the 200 cash I had in my wallet that the sever pocketed cash from the tab because she wasnāt tipped and then pocketed my wallet. Iāve had to spend all morning canceling Debit and credit cards and ordering new ID cards. I had banking and my social card in that billfold. This has been an absolute nightmare. This entire experience has made me sick to my stomach. At least the cook new what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy visit was a while ago but I'm just now getting to writing my review. I don't usually complain or be picky but I am not sure about this place. I had a prime rib steak ordered to medium rare. Came out a lot closer to rare, not bad but just more rare than I wanted. I politely asked my waitress if she could have the cook throw it on the grill for a little longer and made sure to emphasize that I was not "complaining" and that I didn't want a manager as it wasn't a huge deal (to me atleast).
Out comes the manager a few minutes later to come tell me that I was wrong, and the steak was actually medium rare like I had ordered. It was probably a 6 minute back and forth conversation of him being pretty confrontational about what is essentially customer preference. I don't really understand what his point was, that I should continue to eat a steak that I don't find well done enough? It was bizarre to say the least.
I didn't ask the waiter for compensation, and I had told her everything was ok and that I just wanted it cooked a little more. Why make it a big deal? Regardless of whether he was right or not, I am not sure why the manager thought it was appropriate to come out and argue with me, especially when I didn't ask for him.
When they brought it back out it tasted terrible on the outside even though it still wasn't cooked much. There were loose burnt flakes on the outside so I'm pretty sure they threw it onto the grease trap of their grill for 10 seconds and brought it back out to me, not even kidding.
Needless to say I didn't finish it and I really didn't feel like talking to that argumentative manager again so I just paid and left. The waiter was very nice, I just think that manager was having a bad day and was expecting to deal with some karen...
