NJ Bergen Florist at Lyndhurst — Local services in Lyndhurst

I’m very disappointed with my experience at NJ Bergen Florist at Lyndhurst. I placed an order on Friday for three elaborate funeral sprays, totaling over $400, to be delivered to a wake on Sunday. I was reassured multiple times that the flowers would arrive by 11:00 AM. However, by 2:00 PM - well into the service - they still had not been delivered.

When I called to follow up, I was told the delivery was scheduled for noon and they would contact the driver. A few minutes later, I received a call back stating that the driver had gotten into an accident and that the flowers would not be delivered at all. Had I not been at the service, no one would have contacted me to let me know.

To their credit, the florist did refund my purchase and later sent a complimentary arrangement to the family after the funeral, which I appreciated. However, I'm still very upset that the flowers didn't arrive when they were needed most.

While I understand that accidents can happen, the lack proactive communication - especially during such a sensitive occasion - made an already difficult day even more upsetting. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend their services based on...
