I have walked by Vezir a few times heading over to the train or walking the dog around town. My wife and i decided to pop in on a sunday and it was empty, we were worried at first.
As soon as the food came out, our worriest went away. We did not grab a photo of the dip and grape leaves combo app, but it was to die for. All the dips were made fresh that morning and they tasted so fresh and delicious and were seasoned to absolute perfection. We were given an extra loaf of bread to finish our dips and eat more of the olive oil and spices that were given as well.
We then got the falafel Vezir fries and the Chicken Kabob and both of those were again SO good, fries were seasoned and the sauces were such a nice touch and addition to the fries. The Chicken Kabob was cooked to perfection, slight char around the corners, still juicy and well seasoned and then the sides that came with it, a very spicy roasted long hot, a roasted tomato, a delicious and seasoned rice mound and an amazing salad that i wish they gave more of it was so friggen good.
We then were given a slice of the baklava with some Turkish Ice cream, combed with a Turkish tea, one of the best combos ive ever had.
We left there with the best taste looming in our mouths, so full we could barely walk home, but so happy and so satisfied. If you've been hesitant to try it, walk in and experience some truly...
Read moreI can't recommend Vezir enough. The food is amazingly good. My wife & I shared 2 starters, the falafel (6 perfectly crunchy outside and moist inside) and the cacik (strained yogurt & cucumber & dill - creamy for dipping crusty bread but we ended up just eating spoonfuls of it, tangy & crunchy with thinly sliced cukes) and we shared the chicken kebab...some of the most delicious chicken we've ever had. Big square chunks, delicious seasoning, seared and crispy edges but sooo tender, with lovely rice pilaf and a small salad, with two dipping sauces, one spicy. We had the "carrot-shaped" (a slender triangle) pistachio baklava with Turkish goat-cheese ice cream on the side. Wow. If you enjoy Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Turkish food or have never tried any Turkish food ever, you will love this restaurant. It's pretty inside, with lots of beautiful artwork. A peaceful vibe. The whole place emanates family & tradition & culture preserved lovingly through this delicious food. The owner waited on us and he's a charming guy who had a well-known Turkish restaurant in NYC for many years. You can also pick up their many home-made desserts from the case in front. They also deliver but it's most fun to go there. Do not sleep on this restaurant! If you're local, get here. If you aren't local it's definitely worth the drive. Let's support them and help...

First of all, we were truly impressed with the service :)) everyone was incredibly friendly and always had a smile on their face. The staff is super kind and made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in.
We started with a selection of mezes: sigara böreği, hummus, cacık, and salad. Each one was delicious and beautifully presented! Then came the real surprise🤩the Vezir fries. We instantly fell in love with them! Everyone at our table wanted to order more and just pick a kebab to go with it.
We tried both the chicken kebab and the Adana kebab, and they were absolutely incredible. The chicken was so tender and well-cooked, it didn’t even need a knife, it just fell apart. Same for the Adana , perfectly seasoned, soft, and flavorful.
For dessert, everything was fresh and delicious, and the best part for me😁😁They served complimentary Turkish tea from the house. That small gesture made the whole experience even more special.
I highly recommend Vezir to anyone looking for authentic Turkish food and genuine hospitality. We’re already planning...
