Unfortunately, a very poor experience — the worst I have ever had at a nail salon. I appreciated that they were able to take a Saturday afternoon walk-in (acrylic fill) but I did wonder why they had so few people being serviced. Now I understand why. I have never paid more than $50 for a fill at a nail salon (before tip). Perhaps some may pay more for nail design, but not for a standard fill. I checked the pricing brochure before being taken in to be sure that the price was agreeable. The brochure said $30+ for fill, $35+ for powder fill. With a powder fill and pink tips, you can imagine why I would be shocked to hear my total cost coming to $60! I began to ask for a price breakdown, and was told that I was charged for the shape of my nail (almond)! Never in my life have I had a salon charge for shaping your nails. This is a basic piece of nail service!
I then asked where it mentioned any costs for nail shape and was told “it’s not in there”. Well, where is it then? I’ve returned home and wish I would have simply paid for what I was told I would pay for, and nothing more. The pink tips are also just not appealing. Squiggly lines, areas not filled in.. etc. I had to ask multiple times that several nails be touched up because they looked so bad. I hate to sound harsh, but there really are no other words I feel adequately describe the way they looked. At one point, I felt badly being “difficult” and offered to just do it myself.
I will always politely deal with aesthetic issues (it’s worth noting that I’m pretty basic when it comes to my nails). But the dishonest pricing is something else entirely.
The final straw before me deciding I will NEVER be going back was this: the sign posted on their front desk said that you receive an %8 discount if you pay with cash. When they “lowered” the cost for me from $60 for a fill to $55, I figured my final cost would be around $52. Instead, my “total plus tax” came out to $69! So for $70 I have a fill with nails that are honestly embarrassing if anyone were to look too closely at them. I also had my nail nipped a few times - it was painful. When you have your nails done, you should: Know what you are paying for UP FRONT. No hidden charges Be able to relax knowing that the professional doing your nails will leave them looking nice - not like a young child painted them
I will never go back here. It’s unfortunate since I was looking for a regular salon and live so close. I’ll be letting those I know be aware of the dishonest practices happening here as well.
Add-on: If they are offering a discount of %8 for using cash, then the credit card service fees have to be at least 8% if not greater — for them to actually be saving anything. I highly doubt that high a percentage which makes me think they are preferring cash for other, more shady reasons like being able to operate off the books.
I hope this salon is examined by the health dept and IRS - I am sure there are some good people working here but the dishonest nature of the ones I met today leaves me hoping they get what they put out...
Read moreDo not go here I am new to town an was looking for a new salon……omg the worst an they will over charge you for the most ugliest nails ever even if you tell them you don’t like it they get mad an still do it wrong even when you have the photo right there for them to look at. if you can’t do something say you can’t an I’ll go to someone who can or I’ll get something not as complex I was over charged I was suppose to be 84$ an they tried to charge me 122 but they gave me a deal and went down to 111. They said I was getting a deal but the old bag that did my toes said I had gel when I didn’t I got regular polish. I was so upset I should not have ever even paid. I should’ve just walked out. I told him numerous times what I wanted. I have the picture on my phone the whole time so he could see for reference and he did a half ass job didn’t even match the design so half my hand has one design and the other half doesn’t even have a design I asked for it to match the picture exactly and he couldn’t do that I told him multiple times what I wanted and I told him that the design was horrible. I ended up walking away with my nails all messed up they are really rough he didn’t smooth my nails out an they were off shape I asked for oval/square an I wanted them longer and he made them as short as my natural nails. There’s paint marks on nails that shouldn’t have paint on them. They did the thinnest layer of nail polish and they didn’t even do the cat eye correctly. They just slapped it on there, didn’t use the magnet to give it the effect. Also my toes are just as bad, thin layer of paint an my nails were cut uneven. I told her I was a diabetic and didn’t my my cuticles cut an she still cut them. I feel like I was raw doged out of my money an time I could of done a better job myself and should of done it my self. This place is a scam and will rob you...
Read moreIf there was a way for me to NOT give ANY stars i would, they definitely do not deserve any at all. Save your coins and find somewhere else. I came in for a pedicure and the same night my polish came OFF of my toes. They are unsanitary, using the same unclean foot scrubs and tools on the person before you, putting it in a trash bin, pulling it out like a surprise. Nothing comes pre wrapped at least proving they have been sanitized and cleaned. State board would have a FIELD DAY in here for how many codes they are breaking. They up-charge services at different costs for different people. When I came in for my color change from their mistakes, it took forever to take off my old polish, 20 minutes of waiting and then 30 minutes of removal, including buffing, drilling and PEELING my nail polish off with a cuticle nipper. They also have staff that doesn’t speak english so please come prepared when you walk in with what you want done. They “ act” like they don’t know what you are talking about and mumble and talk amongst themselves… This place is awful and i HIGHLY suggest you find somewhere else to...
