iRepairTek (IT Services, Smartphone, Computer, Consoles and Tablet Repair) — Local services in Lyons Township

My family has had a few experiences with this business (unfortunately). Unfortunate part is because we've had important devices needing various types of repair/backup. Some examples include, iPad screen replacements (plural), Iphones left out in rain/dropped in water (apple said everything was irretrievable/couldn't be fixed), to real tech products like Samsung phones and tablets screen replacement repair stuff. The "go to" business is the "you break I fix" company. Ubreak I fix isn't honest with everything, especially if you need something repaired. This company is honest about everything and honest about pricing. I cannot praise more about how much I appreciate their candidness regarding repairing literally anything you bring them. They'll let you know the real pricing and what you'll need to be charged etc. I've heard some people complain about some workers not being "nice" and other irrelevant trash, these people work with technology, I don't care what our interaction is as long as they communicate with me and fix my stuff, at a reasonable price, within reasonable time, I'd honestly let them even sock me in the face lol. However, I've never experienced any negative interactions with any employees. They're all very patient and kind, I've witnessed interactions between them and my elderly parents, which means a lot. My friend recommended this place and I gave my laptop for fixing my broken LCD screen. Laptop was working fine until the second LCD was broken. It was not dropped on the floor. My son closed the laptop with some force.

After 2 weeks, I went there to get the laptop. He said they did not yet receive the parts. After a week, I got an unclear voice mail to talk about my laptop. I went there again. He said he left lot of calls and voice mails to me. But I got only one.

This time, he said the Hard Drive was broken and should be replaced. I got suspicious and got my laptop back with my original hard drive.

Service is very bad. They did not give any reasonable explanation why they kept my laptop for 3 weeks for a simple LCD screen replacement and say that Hard Drive also broken at the very last day.

I had called about an hour before the store was to close to urgently repair the screen and cable to my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Many other shops in the area did not have the screen available, but Omer got me in, was able to put on a more cost-conscious LCD screen, and have my phone good as new in under an hour!

Omer communicated with me the whole time, and when he found that the new screen was unresponsive, he called to let me know the cable connecting the TouchScreen was severed, he had that part as well and clearly communicated costs the whole time.

Nowadays, phones are like cars, and can get expensive quick! I was very impressed with Omer’s professional communication. No blindsiding me with additional costs or fees. He even offered a loaner phone for others who were having phone issues.
