Buona — Restaurant in Lyons Township

I will not go back to this location again! My husband and I ordered 2 beefs and an order of fries.. The girl at the drive-through taking the orders was very distracted, and kept repeating our order wrong, but found time to talk to the other guy bringing out the orders to waiting cars in the parking lot. It seems everyone had to wait in the parking lot for their orders. We finally got our order and both beefs were wrong. The guy told us to keep the beefs as he could not take them in. So very shortly later a manager came out and asked about what was wrong with the beefs. He wanted them back and promised to make them right. Well as it turns out not only was my beef wrong AGAIN they actually gave us back the now cold beefs we started with!! The joke is we had a free beef card to pay for the 7" because of another mess up at another Buona in St Charles. This time the manager gave us another free beef card. Save your cards and just deliver the right order!! That's what Buona was all about! Good food and fast service.. We have been customers since the original Buona Berwyn location. I am not sure we will buy from...

Giving 3 stars because I love buona beef but our first experience at this location was not very good. We were super excited to finally have one in our neighborhood and just picked up dinner there for the first time tonight.

Unless they changed the fries (which I suppose is possible) then the batch we had was not the same as usual. These were super hard and just seemed over cooked. We ordered two 7"beefs and both of them had very dry meat. My girlfriend mentioned the meat being very fatty before I noticed anything like that in mine. Then I bit into something hard. I dug it out and thought it was a small bone but I was able to break it in half so not sure what it was. Then I started getting that tough fatty stuff that you can't chew through.

I know this location is super new and hope they can work through the kinks. Hoping this was just a one time thing so we will definitely be...

I'm sad to write this review because I've been going to Buona since I was a kid and it is a family favorite. We've been ordering from this location since it opened and every single time we have ordered for delivery something has been wrong or missing. Some examples are a time my husband ordered a combo and got just beef no sausage, we've ordered cheese fries and just got the fries. This time I ordered myself a 10 inch beef and got a 7 inch. It's frustrating because this food isn't cheap. We've done in the restaurant and not had a problem it's really delivery. Which is crazy to me because they way your charged for delivery fees and everything else you'd think they'd want their orders to be on point. We will always love Buona and although this location is closer to our home we might be going to the Hillside location instead...
