We just shopped at Jan's Hallmark on County Line Rd, in Madison. It's actually a newer Hallmark store and completely stocked and more than ready for customers!! Usually, I am not much of a shopper, but shopping at this Hallmark store was truly a very enjoyable time, not just because of the unique holiday decorations or the cards, but simply the care and professionalism of the staff. The staff member on duty today was Dani. She was extremely cheerful and more than willing to assist us in what we were looking for, and we found the items - and much more!!! She was a pleasure to be around, meaning, simply that having employees that are excited about what they do, like Dani, make the experience of shopping even better! They are excited to work at Hallmark. I can say Dani and her other colleagues will definitely be a reason I return to shop there for all of my ornaments and decorations for Halloween and Christmas as well as all the holidays! Read moreThe day I was in the shop, there was only 3 young ladies working - no manager on the floor. Checking out, they wouldn't take a $50 bill for a $60+ purchase, saying they couldn't. When asked why, the one girl only said that there wasn't a spot in the drawer but otherwise she didn't know. And then went on to say that it was probably because most of it was counterfeit and the store didn't have a way to test it. So, she didn't know but her go to assumption was to offend the customer's by assuming all customer's use counterfeit cash?! And if you are a business, then the excuse of not having a way to test it is poor management. I hope they work out the problems and mgmt works...
