The service here was truly astonishingly TERRIBLE. Let me paint the picture of my experience at Pho Galaxy. We walk in sit down our server comes up ask for our drinks. I can tell the waiter is new I have patience with him. I order an unsweetened tea my partner orders an Arnold Palmer. The server comes up with the wrong drink a half unsweetened half sweet and the Arnold Palmer. We proceed to order baby boyâs food while we decide what to eat ourselves. My partner orders a regular pho with brisket and ribeye. I order the large house special with no tripe or tendon with a piece of rib meat ,spring rolls with pork inside, and a grill pork sandwich. We proceed to wait for our food the server brings baby boyâs food and a small bowl of pho which looks like my bowl with tripe and tendon I donât question it. I have patience I can tell itâs his first day. He then comes up says heâs made a mistake he gave me another table bowl and he has mine I proceed to swap them out, as my partner watches still no food. I am patiently waiting for their food to be brought out my sandwich comes out. I start to become curious about their food I notice we are without drinks empty glasses so I get the attention of the boy with blonde hair we make eye contact and I point to the drink he acknowledges it but proceeds to do nothing. Finally our server comes and apologizes saying he gave my partners bowl to another table they are going to remake it so I point out the drinks. When my partner food finally gets remade the blonde hair boy comes and tells us they made it to go. This is my last straw they messed up our order my order still had trip and tendon my partner watched waiting an hour no food then proceed to try and get us to leave by making her food to go. I ask for a manager they proceed to say sheâs not in the owners in another country. They finally get ahold of a manager she comps my partners meal; however I am truly astonish how disappointing this experience has been we will not be going back and this restaurant is ran like a clown show. I wish to be contacted by the owner and the manager because there is way more to this than the experience. When I proceeded to ask to speak to you the boy seemed astonished like nobody ever asked for that and seemed scared his actions seemed purposeful and this is truly an embarrassment to your...
Read moreI don't know how this place got so many great reviews. And now that I've gone back and looked at them, a lot of them look like made up accounts. This place was awful on all fronts. I will say that the dining room was spacious and well lit, foreign TV and the (owner's?) child out front (playing around loudly) was does give it the small Asian restaurant vibe. The service was abrupt and almost non-existent. After they took my order, a man brought me my food, and other than when the guy came in to pick up a delivery order, I didn't see another adult (including my server) in the dining room for over 30 minutes. Obviously, my glass sat empty most of that time, and when they finally refilled it it was warm and tasted bad. I got my check and then waited another 10 minutes before they came back to process it. The Whole Galaxy pho ($22) looked so good on the menu. Sadly, the only good part of the whole thing was the beef rib (it's the reason I gave a second star), it was the only thing that had any flavor. The broth tasted like it came out of a can. Other than the beef rib, there was very little meat and a whole lot of noodles. The "steak" had almost a steakumm quality, stuck together and disintegrated into crumbs when "cooked", the tendons were not tender, and the so called "house tendon meatballs" definitely tasted like the store bought plain frozen kind. All the meats tasted like they've hung out in the freezer too long. There was very little vegetables and they were already wilting and came out sitting in a pool of water. The chili oil was disgusting, zero flavor, zero spice. It looks and tastes like it had been sitting out there for so long that it's lost its color. I will not be coming back here, even if there wasn't so many other great options in town. I would rather eat a bowl of instant pho, than...
Read moreI live nearby and used to eat at Pho Nam regularly before Pho Galaxy took over recently. I 100% disagree with the "Kevin" reviewer who said Pho Nam was better...Pho Galaxy is leagues beyond Pho Nam. My wife and extended family all agree. Best part is that I no longer feel the need to make the long trek to Huntsville (Viet Huang in particular) to get the "best pho" in town.
More specifically, the staff take very good care of kiddos by bringing them some extra goodies to keep them happy throughout the meal. Staff is very friendly but some are still learning the ropes understandably. Food was surprisingly on point for what has been just their opening week. Haven't tried anything that wasn't excellent to include: Calamari - like no other calamari I've tried. It's very chonky with a strong sirloin flavor. Exceptionally delicious. Garlic Pho - super savory (and obviously garlicy) take on pho and might be my new go to option Classic Pho - great, lives up to it's name, but I keep thinking about the garlic pho Rib Pho - great, worth trying at least once, but I keep thinking about garlic pho Pork Banh Mi with Egg added - the egg was scrambled and cooked perfectly to really add some nice flavor and moisture to what would otherwise be a classically dry sandwich due to the baguette style bread. Would pair very well with Pho if super hungry (or sharing with someone). The passion fruit drink with ice bear - delicious, sugary, pricey, and over the top but I still recommend trying it at least once, especially if you have kids. Thai Tea - classic yummy tea
I'm really looking forward to trying other things on their varied menu, but I have a feeling I'm going to keep going back to the garlic pho, ban mi with egg, and...
