China Dragon — Restaurant in Madison

Unbelievable at the lack of customer service. First of all, why put a flyer in my mailbox saying “we deliver” if you don’t, and then act rude when someone calls for a delivery order??. Since we had already decided what we wanted to order (thinking it would be delivered) I decided to drive from Athens to Madison to give this place a try. It’s all weirdly boarded up for covid (every other place is back open, btw) and I had to stand outside for quite a while waiting for my turn to pick up my pre-ordered food. The rude lady showed me my a ticket through the glass and it had everything I ordered on it. I paid and drove back to Athens. Got home and my kids quickly noticed none of our food was there. We packed it all back up (including the hair that was on the box) and headed back to Madison. I called on the way, and told her she gave me the wrong bag. She didn’t apologize, just ask “you coming?”. When I got there, she rudely told me to put the wrong food in the box to send back. And then I had to wait in line again. She held my order up, and said I owed her another dollar!!!!! I’m pretty sure my jaw dropped. I should have said “take it out of the tip I gave you 25 min ago” but I just shook my head and put $1 in the weird wooden box so she’d release the food my family was still waiting for. The food was blah. Not worth the drive again, even if we hadn’t received horrible service. We’ll NEVER go there again. Golden China is SO much better, and their customer service is a million...

I have always had good experiences with this place and their food. Tonight was awful. I ordered the General Tso chicken and Schezuan Beef. We I was taking my food out of the bag it had this weird chemically smell. I thought they were just being clean and maybe wiped the outside of the food dishes with disinfectant. Not the case. I opened the chicken dish and the chemical smell was even stronger. I thought maybe they just changed the sauce recipe so I tried the chicken and it tasted like straight up BLEACH. It got worse with the more sauce that was on it.Again thought Maybe the food trays got some on it but the beef dish was perfectly fine. It was really good actually. I also got a side of sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was fine but the tub of sauce gave off that same smell. Tasted the sauce and same thing, bleach!. Absolutely unacceptable. I can't get the taste out of my nose and mouth now. Praying I...

Was there several moths ago. Owner was nice. The back door and the freezer door were both open which is a health violation. THEN the cook, while preparing my food, dropped the cooking ladle used in the wok on the floor. He looked at me knowing I saw him do it The picked it up and continued to cook with it. I said no thank you and I want my money back. The owner offered to remake it but I said I want my money back which she did. I know the wok is super hot but that is just nasty. I will not go there again.

I had bad experiences at 2 other local Chinese restaurants in Madison, 1 by where Star Market used to be and 1 beside where Kroger used to be where the new Publix is being built. One cook blew his nose in the sink and at the other location the cook spit in the kitchen floor.
