This Farmers market is a true gem of the West side! You can find Farmers market staples like Stella's and Madison Sourdough without having to schlep all the way to the Capitol. You can even breathe, move around, and walk freely. The produce stalls offer fabulous items and the people working at each stall are always so friendly and helpful. Here are some highlights:
Tend Native Plants: Pollinator-sade native plants grown in Blue Mounds with love. Sarah, Tend owner, is knowledgeable and offered great suggestions on what to purchase and why. The starts I bought from Tend all thriving! The little band: they are there every week jamming out and supporting causes and organizations important to our community Chris & Lori's Bakehouse: Best scones in Madison. They are retiring after this year but they have said someone is buying their scone recipe and hopefully they will have a stall at the Westside Community Market 🤞🏻

There was basically no natural shade so the sun was a little brutal,...

Also love their cinnamon oat and blueberry oat scones. Got a warm cheese and mushroom (slightly spicy) empanada from another vendor, a tiny quiche, a peach pastry, a cheese scone, baby yellow and green beans, purple tomatoes, corn on the cob (yay!), yellow cauliflower, fresh garlic, and super fresh Farmer John’s cheese curds. Nothing beats Madison farmers markets - best in the state....
