Wrapsody was a bit of a unique find for me. I was out running errands when I stumbled across this store. I genuinely had no idea what I might find when I went inside, so I thought I should go inside to check it out.

What is Wrapsody?

Wrapsody is an Alabama-based gift store. It has multiple locations, though they are mostly focused in the larger cities of Alabama. The store is stocked with a variety of different, unique items, at a medium to medium-high price point. The items are a bit more feminine-leaning, though there are also kitchen items and baby items in the store. There is a Wrapsody store located in Madison at Clift Farms.

What Can I Buy at Wrapsody?

Wrapsody is another one of those stores that has ‘a little bit of everything.’ The store is very open and airy, but the items are well grouped and organized into different areas. There is an area with boutique-style women's clothing. There are more muted purses and bags and the brightly colored and trendy Scout brand bags. A corner is dedicated to baby supplies, like blankets, outfits, books, and accessories. The store's back wall has an area with some small kitchen gadgets and snack foods.

They also have a good deal of jewelry spread throughout the store. Some of the jewelry is a bit more high end, but there is also a solid selection of more affordable, trendy jewelry.

And then, of course, the store has other decor bits like picture frames, vases, decorative hand towels, and the like.

Well, Wrapsody, like all other stores, is for everyone. However, I could see the store’s clientele being mostly women, likely between the ages of 20 and 40. The store has a young, modern feel, with most of the decor giving off a muted, clean vibe. There are plenty of items that are a little bit louder and provide a pop of color, but overall, there was a very muted vibe.

I visited the shop around Christmas time. I was thrilled to know that they sold Tyler Candle Company products. I felt as if I was being watched and followed in the store by employees. I purchased my items and left. Thankfully, my items were wrapped, but the employee seemed hesitant. I wanted to give them another chance, so I brought my mother with me to the store. I wanted to purchase some E Newton bracelets , but I decided not to by the way I was being treated in the store. My mom was purchasing a gift for one of her coworkers. One employee/cashier refused to check us out basically inferring that she was busy with another customer (this customer did not look like us). Also, she denied wrapping the gift that my mom was purchasing. I was disappointed because I thought that the wrapping was complimentary. (with the name being Wrapsody you would think that they would’ve wrapped her gift because she purchased it.) She claimed that they aren’t allowed to wrap sale items. If that is the policy they should post it in writing somewhere in the store that is noticeable, possibly at the checkout counter. I do not recommend shopping at this location. I will take my hard earned money somewhere else that is friendly and welcoming to people that...
