The food is good but that doesn’t hold much weight when every. Single. Time. You’ve gotten food from this establishment something in the order has been wrong. And I’m not talking 1 or 2 times. No, this has been at the very least 5 times consecutively with multiple errors in a single order. Let that sink in. Five different occasions when multiple items in an order are incorrect in some form or another. This doesn’t even touch on the blasé and aloof demeanor of the staff during each said visit/interaction so it’s no wonder the outcome has been consistently short of accurate and/or satisfactory. That level of disconnect between customer expectations and customer service is indicative of a staff that does NOT care or is NOT motivated at providing satisfactory service. Either the training isn’t there, the standards aren’t adequately set, or management isn’t holding their staff accountable. One would think since this Slim Chickens location’s biggest competition on the other side of the parking lot is Chick Fil-A, an establishment known for its exemplary service standards, would strive harder and work more vigorously to be able to compete with such a high reputation of quality service and accuracy standards. If this is the best they got then don’t waste your time or your money at this business because it’s clear their idea of serving the community isn’t with your best interest at heart. Spend your money somewhere in which the expectation that providing the best experience possible is where your money is spent because that is not the business model being displayed at this location on a routine basis. If this Slim Chickens doesn’t care about your business, then spend your money at an establishment where your time and...
Read moreSlim Chickens is a very good casual eatery. It is new to the casual scene in the Huntsville area. Locals can compare with Tenders and Zaxby's. The atmosphere inside has a definite southern flavor and the owners are locals! The staff is outrageously helpful.
The chick's meal is 3 tenders/ fries/drink. Classic meal has 4 tenders. Slim's meal is 5 wings/5 tenders for the hungry person at the table. There are also sandwiches and wraps. Grilled or fried chicken! The BIG kicker for me..... they have standard sides like Cole slaw, side salad, and fries but!!!! They also know southerners like Mac and cheese, fried okra, fried pickles, and tater salad. And a neat bonus of ranch chips. I have not tried those, I got stuck on the Mac and cheese and the okra. The tenders are cooked perfectly and you can select one of their many sauces. The cayenne ranch has a slight zing to it, not as spicy as you'd think so for those on the fence it is not hot just tasty! The Mac and cheese is a white cheese, good! The okra is good and firm, not soggy. Passed the test. Might add a bit more pepper to the mix but overall a huge win! Thank you! No southerner wants soggy fried okra! Garlic parmesan sauce is very garlic-y. If you like garlic then definitely get this one- very very yummy! Probably not for your picky 6 year old though:-) extra sauces are 29 cents so it's worth exploring in the beginning with a few. they have a LOT. Slim sauce is their standard tasty sauce, it's a good one. Tangy BBQ sauce has an edge of sweet in it and was great on the smoky wrap. They have an inferno sauce for those who like it hot. Slim Chickens needs to be a stop by to get a meal at least...
Read moreEaten here many times. One star is for the curbside service I experienced May 15th. We decided to get something “quick.” The drive thru was packed and seemed slow so we parked and put in our order, #2 curbside spot, got confirmation message at 1:16pm. We waited, two different employees came out to ask our names and then no one after that. Guy who arrived same time as us left in anger w/o his food. 4 different cars had food delivered to them while we waited. Finally at 1:55pm, my husband went inside to find our food just sitting there. He asked them to at least redo the milkshakes but I think the person understood it as clean off the excess on the outside. He obviously returned with the same milkshakes because they were lukewarm foamy milk (mine with Oreos separated and clustered at the bottom). Apart from that, our fries and food were cold. At this point I had to eat it because I needed to eat at that moment. Spent the rest of my Sunday afternoon on the sofa with a pulsating hunger headache because my sugar had dropped while waiting. If I was going to wait that long, I would have gone to a real restaurant, waited 30-40mins to be seated and enjoyed a real meal. Instead, we got cold food, room temperature milk with Oreos pieces and room temperature strawberry milk. Again, been there several times - food is decent for fried stuff, dessert jars are good. But it will take me a while to forget this experience along with the headache, the afternoon I missed nursing a pulsating headache and the...
