A Quiet Kindness That Stays With You
In all the years I’ve shopped at O’Reilly Auto Parts on South Main in Madisonville, KY, I’ve never met an unkind person. The store’s always tidy, and the team—guys and gals alike—seem genuinely rooted in helpfulness. No showy gestures, no rushed attitudes—just quiet kindness that feels like a porch light left on for a neighbor running late. There’s a simple dignity to that kind of consistency, and in a world that’s often hurried, it’s comforting to know you can count on a calm welcome and a helping hand. This place doesn’t just sell parts—it restores your trust in everyday goodness.
“Kindness isn’t complicated. It just shows up.”
While reading through online reviews, I noticed some comments that felt dismissive toward the employees. That saddened me, because my own experiences have consistently reflected patience and professionalism from the staff here. I believe they deserve to be recognized for that. It’s refreshing when kindness becomes the norm, not the exception.
This stop on South Main reminds me that grace often arrives quietly—in how people treat each other, in clean aisles, and in the tone of everyday voices. Whether it’s auto parts or encouragement, the delivery matters. May we all keep a light on.

Read moreI bought a water pump with a lifetime warranty one year ago. Well yesterday ny water pump locked up and I already needed a new one again. Strike one. The part was poorly made and didn't last. They had to order one because the one they had in stock turned out to be damaged. Well the new one came in and I was at work, so my mom went to pick it up. She took the old pump to trade it like you have to for the warranty. It had some scratches in it from where the tools had scraped it when removing it from the car. They refused to honor the warranty and said we damaged the part and were liable. My mom explained it had locked up and had to be taken off after and metal tools make scratches on the parts. Its unavoidable. They were hateful, refused to honor ny warranty, talked to my mom like a dog, and said if we wanted the part we were just going to have to pay full price for it. We went across the street and bought a new part from AutoZone instead. After the way they treated my my, I will be contacting corporate and getting reimbursed for the $150 I should have never had to pay because their company sold me a lifetime warranty. The manager and the enployees are hateful, awful people. This is not the first time they have acted this way to us either....
Read moreLet me start off by saying the team at this store go above and beyond. I had a tensioner pulley go bad and a belt shred. They were able to get me the pulley same day within a couple hours. When I realized I got the wrong belt from another source I immediately called them. They did not have one in stock. However I found one locally. Being from out of town I had no way to go get it. This team not only brought my pulley out once. But went and got the belt for me and brought it to me. No hesitation no questions asked. When I needed a belt diagram they sent me a picture minutes after calling and asking. You dont find that kind of service anymore and for that I am very thankful. I cannot say enough good things about this store. Once again thank...
