We took our vehicle here to get the tires replaced. They discovered one of our lugnuts was too stripped to put back on so they slipped the bolt in unsecured and put the nut in the pocket of the driver's door expecting the other four to hold the tire on good enough. Then they returned our car to us without mentioning the missing nut. The next morning our daughter had an appointment in Knoxville and on the way home we started hearing a weird ticking sound. The next morning we were backing out of our driveway when we heard a snap and the car started making a grinding sound as if it were dragging a piece of metal. That's when we discovered the missing nut and that our tire was now unset because the bolt had snapped. Walmart knew about the nut and even made a note of it yet they allowed us to drive our children to Knoxville in this ticking time bomb. It's only by luck that it snapped while we were in our driveway. A more competent mechanic looked at it and said if we had taken the Interstate to Knoxville instead of driving through Maryville it likely would have cause the whole wheel to come off resulting in an accident.
Walmart did apologize and paid to have our car towed to a body shop, the nut and bolt replaced and the damage to our wheel fixed but my husband only source of income is using his vehicle to drive Uber so we lost an entire paycheck over this waiting a week for the job to get done. But even if we didn't lose money over it it still doesn't change the fact that they put our children's lives in danger along with ours and the lives of everyone we crossed on the road.
I will never trust them again and don't recommend you...
Read morePulled up, looked like they were having a meeting. To me those should be held either before you open or after you close not smack dab in the middle of the work day, but I patiently waited for about 15-20 minutes for this meeting to end. Once they all dispersed I rolled my window down and pulled up to the guy under the awning with the iPad. I waited for about 5-10 minutes to be greeted and never was. So finally I pulled all the way up and finally greeted me with “iPads don’t work in the sun”. Are you kidding me?! You couldn’t have greeted me when I was foot away? This crew is lazy, lazy, lazy. I will drive 45 minutes away to Turkey creek from now on. Mind you they didn’t even check my tires but I wasn’t even going to try to get that fixed, I’ll do it myself to make sure it gets done. Now let’s hope my engine doesn’t blow up and that they actually did do...
Read moreDo not bring your vehicle here unless you actually do not care about it. If you have nice things, just use an hour of PTO and go anywhere else.
Two stars for being the only tire place open past 5 on a weekday around here. 0 stars for using the spike side clamp of the tire machine on my $400 aluminum wheel two times when it DID NOT EVEN NEED TO BE CLAMPED AT ALL. That side is for steel wheels. Thanks for marring it up for me guys! Pay more so you get less braindead employees that will maybe stay or teach them how to do the job properly instead of a couple CYA...
