Pops Pizza Spot — Restaurant in Madisonville

I used to make my living from NY style pies... I had seen some of their posts and was curious. They were in the next town over from me, at Cofer's Garage in Rockwood, so I figured I should give them a shot.

I just grabbed a slice, planning to get another if it was good. I was full off of my single slice of pepperoni! If I'd had one beer instead of two, I probably would have gotten a second.

My slice was less than $5 before my tip, and it was EXCELLENT! The crust actually has some chew and flavor, which is seemingly so difficult to find around here!

Not too much sauce, right amount of cheese, good char on the crust without being burnt or too crispy.

They had parm, red pepper and garlic powder out to doctor it yourself... Honestly, my only complaint would be that they didn't have dried oregano in addition to those.

Maybe they should stick to making pizza and promoting their business instead of spreading hateful disinformation on social media. I was a little skeptical about a pizza food truck, but the reviews were good and thought, "Why not?" OMG!! I am sooooooo glad we did!!! The pizza was perfect. Great crust with the right amount of crunch, the sauce was not super thick or sweet, and it had a great cheese pull! The garlic knots were fantastic too! I will definitely visit them again when they are in my neck...
