This adorable fudge / gift store is the absolute most phenomenally amazing shop throughout any other fudge shop that I’ve ever been able to find , We’ve been coming to Maggie Valley since I was a little girl with my parents ,and we’ve always been in love with this shop especially since they’ve got the most delicious 😋 fudge that’s ever been made that I’ve ever had throughout my whole entire life . The ladies that are always there to make us visitors feel like we’ve been the favorite customers that they’ve had are absolutely 💯 the MOST KINDHEARTED ,and truly the most INCREDIBLY SWEET HARDWORKING BEAUTIFUL LADIES THAT I’VE HAD THE PLEASURE TO MEET ,and TO SEE EVERY SINGLE TIME WE GET OUR FAVORITE FUDGE FROM THIS ADORABLE HOME SWEET HOME PHENOMENAL FUDGE/GIFT SHOP . Also anyone up here who tries saying any differently about these amazing kindhearted hardworking ladies are just not able to be pleased no matter who it is working behind that counter or any other counter throughout everywhere they’ll ever go to purchase whatever they are there to purchase from any store whatsoever at all . The particular disrespectfully rude man who left the other review up here who tried telling lies about these kindhearted hardworking ladies was completely disrespectful by accusing them of being what they said these sweet ladies were towards them because they wouldn’t never ever treat anyone like that or accuse anyone of doing what he said they were doing while inside the store so please don’t anyone disrespect these ladies who’ve been working so hard to make our trips even more memorable when leaving the gorgeous mountains around Maggie Valley because they deserve better than that ....

Oh hellooooooooo there. Not even a nice welcome greet. We are here and just happened to see this what looked to be welcoming and quaint shop but, I was wrong! Didn't even much set foot through the door and absolutely NEEDED to relieve myself as well as my caregiver ( I'm on a Nationwide trip as my bucket list, for I am now terminal and to draw my last breath sometime in the next two weeks). So, we were greeted with a "SORRY, flailing older blue hair woman's arm... We are closing. So, unless you have something specific in mind, we open up tomorrow at 0800!!!" As She proceeds to check out three patrons in line and doesn't skip a beat to not give two licks of lollipop to even care about how or why we wandered into this exciting little shop.
Nope.
Just a nice warm NC "FU". So... Here is sit writing this review and concluding at merely 2006... And we tried walking in at 1951. So... Don't expect special treatment and be prompt on your ever so "planned" trips if you would like to be extended the privilidge of spending your money here.
Oh... Now, I understand... The old lady in the purple getup is excited for leaving on time for her Vacation. Hummm....
Open tomorrow huh? Well, I'll hold my breath.
So... Is there a negative star button?

Read moreSadly, this was the worst stop we made on our trip and I wished we had kept driving. One of the smaller "stores" was delightful, but didn't have postcards so we walked further down to the middle/main store. The middle area had a fudge counter that said it had sugar free fudge. I made the mistake of asking how it was sweetened/made since it was sans sugar. Apparently that is a trigger for the rude manager person working. She proceeded to shame me loudly and rudely (presumably because she didn't know the answer), finally admitting that the "homemade fudge" was a mix and they just stir it up and serve. While I didn't ask anything more, I was "treated" to her rudely opining about fudge being a treat and "it's just supposed to be a little bit of joy". While I agree, I also try not to judge other people's choices based on my nutritional choices so I appreciate it when people who are paid to work with the public can manage the same. There were a few items I actually wanted to purchase but decided that I wasn't willing to give money to a business who treats the tourists they advertise...
