We came up to Maggie Valley for a two day get a way. Checkin was smooth. I noted the outside of the property needed some sprucing up. Trash in a few places. The outdoor area needed repair. I was pleasantly surprised by the room. Recently updated. Bathroom was spotless. My only complaint about the room was the lack of room darkening shades for the window. A must for a person who awakens at the first hint of light. My husband and and I thought the beds were too hard for us (we are used to are Sleep Number). I loved the décor of the room with wood accents and the personalized wall hangings. On Friday we enjoyed good company at the outdoor patio where they and a 60-70s band. We enjoyed the food (fish bites for me and country fried steak for my husband) from the restaurant which was on site. The restaurant staff was very friendly! The outdoor patio was situated right by a cute little creek. The hotel is situated in the middle of Maggie Valley with quick access to nearby towns and attractions. A lot of bikers enjoying the ride passing through town as wells a stay at this hotel. The prices was not bad. It was not a luxury hotel by no means but I would stay there again.

We stayed here like most people that come to Maggie Valley, for a motorcycle meetup. Room rates were good. We paid $235 for two nights. Got a large room with two queen beds. Rooms are cabin themed and I felt like we were in a cabin the whole time. The only thing I didn't like was the smell of pot in the hallways. Signs everywhere saying it was smoke free but that didn't stop some tenants. Restaurant and Bar on site was great! Great local choices and good service. Each night had love music or karaoke! Fire pits and chairs everywhere. Ended up joining a few people around the fire for some sing alongs. Really liked this place.

Staying here was a great decision. Everything we needed was within walking distance or available on site. The night we stayed they had live music out back along the river. The large room was very clean and cozy with a fireplace for chilly nights. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. Good food and drinks. Motorcycle parking under a car port available. And the front porch outside our room was a welcome place to hang out evening and for morning coffee. Beautiful mountain view right out the front door.

My husband and I booked this room for a short, romantic getaway due to some very stressful situation’s happening in our life. Upon arrival, we were very concerned about how old the place was and unrenovated. However, after walking around the property, we realized they were renovating, and it was very clean and will kept. We reserved a room with a Jacuzzi tub. The room was very plain and very small. The Jacuzzi tub was in the bathroom, but it was a pretty neat kind of rustic set up. We had had a very stressful day and was arriving late and had missed the event we came to town for. Once in our room we got ready and went to dinner. We realized the room door was not very secure as the actual door was old and the locks were newer but it felt like it didn’t close fully. After dinner I wanted to relax in the tub. The tub filled up and ran as it should it was so relaxing honestly, then I went to get out and nearly hurt myself badly. I actually messed something in my foot up and severely broke a toe. The tub had leaked and flooded the bathroom making the tiled flooring so slippery. I immediately tried Calling the front desk, but the interim phone did not work. I used my cell phone to call the desk and do not have a good signal so I cannot hardly hear the agent. However, upon explaining what was going on in the room, the front desk agent exclaimed your room, actually has a Jacuzzi tub in it because we don’t have any of those type of rooms. So I checked the number that I dialed to the hotel. Make sure it was correct and then responded that we did have Jacuzzi tub in our room. Because the phone call was so quickly I ended up going to the front desk hobbling with a hurt foot all the way there. The front desk agent then question me more about the Jacuzzi tub claimed they were getting in touch with someone and that they did not work very often and thought that all of the Jacuzzi tubs have been removed. The hotel first offer was to give us a $15 credit back because that was a difference in price between that and a standard king room. I spoke with the front desk agent and let him know all of that had went on that day and how stressed we were asking if there’s anyway possible, we could switch to a room of the same type. The agent said they didn’t have any available and we’re sold out for the night. We could relocate to a lesser star hotel down the street but they did not have king bed either. I had booked through hotels.com, so I got into contact with them. They tried to contact the property several times and was unable to reach them. They were in the process of trying to get us a different room at a different property when my husband went to the front desk as by this point even though letting the water out of the tub, it still continued to leak, and our carpeting was wet. After my husband went down and spoke to the front desk, agent again, reiterating our stress level and how late it was getting in the evening. The front desk agent contacted the owner who authorized him to give us a full refund even if we stay the night because the room was damp humid in the tub is not working correctly. We decided to stay and enjoy the outside patio, and the bluegrass band that was playing for the night. That is the one positive of the hotel. It was a very nice restaurant bar outdoor patio, and the band played was absolutely amazing and energetic. By the time all of this was sent done, we got to experience about 45 minutes of their show before it was all over. Before returning to our room, my husband check for the front desk agent again about the refund as the owner had tossed around a Cash refund for us if we decided to stay. The front desk agent confirmed there would be a refund, but it would be a credit back to our debit card that we had paid with, and could take up to seven days. The following day at check out, we again confirmed the refund going back onto the card as we left the property it was confirmed. However, as of today, July 23rd, we still do not have a refund. I have called the property multiple times finally got a female to answer the phone last Thursday. She said she would need someone else to call us back as she was not positive on the matter. No one has returned my phone calls, and I have called for three days multiple times a day with no answer. Hotels.com. Staff team has tried and tried to get in touch with them as well and they...

We had the triple room. Fantastic for a larger family or girls trip. 2 king beds, 1 queen bed, 2 loveseats, a large table and a fireplace for cooler months. First night, no shower curtain! Apparently they took it down to clean it and never bothered to put up another. Had to get the PM desk attendant to put up a shower curtain late at night. The floors are absolutely nasty. I don’t walk on motel room floors ever, but I wiped up a water spill and the towel was black!!! There were left over sticky spills here and there all over the floors. No carpet, thank goodness! There was cobwebs in all corners and a spiders web and egg sacks in the corner of the bathroom window. There is no grab bars in the shower/bath tub. The bathtub floor is slick as ice. Make sure to bring a rubber mat or you will fall!!! DG is across the road for purchasing a mat if you forget to pack one. Truly, you will need it for safety. Parking is not so great. There is a tavern on property that is a busy happening place and those guests fill up the parking lot and take up the front spaces where paying guests should have priority. They have a guest washer and dryer. The dryer was broken. Someone above or beside us smoked a lot of marijuana and our room was reeking. I would say the ventilation system is connected somehow. We are not prudish, and usually do not complain about a little pot smell, but this was so bad it made us non smokers cough and get watery eyes. Explaining that the smell to younger children made for interesting conversation that should have been a few years down the road. The tavern is good. They had live music every night we were there but stopped a a respectable hour. The food was acceptable for the prices. Variety on the menu for the whole family. The cobb salad was delicious. There are lots of places to eat in either direction but make sure you eat early. Most close by 8 and 9 pm. I doubt I will stay here again due to the parking issue. I travel with a handicapped, elderly person and having to hike to our paid room is not acceptable. And the floors were really nasty. I noticed the mattress platform had all kinds of questionable debris between the wall and the mattress; hair, food and general gunk. Easily rectified with a vacuum or dust rag. I did the bed bug check and it was all clear. Sitting in the rocking chairs outside the room provides a lovely view of...

Made reservation in May 21 of 2022 for a stay in October 27, 28and 29. Received a email saying I could update my room for a Deluxe Double Room Interior stating that this room has a fireplace, patio and air conditioning. This was a girls weekend for myself and best friend. Upon check in was given key and told where room was. Much to my dismay, our room was located on the older side of the Lodge. Upon entering the room, it was a older 2 bedroom, with a musty smell. No fireplace, no patio and the air in one of the rooms did not work. While trying to get the air to come on, we noticed several spider webs in the ceiling area around the windows. Walked back to the office and told them that we must have been given the wrong room and the only response that was given was, we do not have fireplaces! Showed him the email from Smoky Falls Lodge and asked if we could be moved to another room, he stated that they were sold out for the night. (Again my reservation was made in MAY). Asked if we could find another place to stay if we could be refunded, he agreed. Walked outside and called Quality Inn Suites and they were available for the dates of our stay and were cheaper!! What could have been a uncomfortable weekend, turned out to be a great weekend in a nice clean place to stay. Have stayed at Smoky Falls Lodge many times on motorcycle trips and never had this issue before. Will not return.
