My dog Chewy has been here 3 times and the first 2 times he was treated fine and we had no problems but the 3rd time when we got him back from being groomed, his eyes were bloodshot badly and they still didn’t heal so yesterday we took him to the vet yesterday and the vet said she is pretty sure my dog was choked by the noose they put on him. Not sure if he jumped and did it to himself or they did it but they didn’t mention anything to us which is VERY suspicious. I could totally handle “your dog jumped out of the sink and choked himself” this is something I would believe because he’s a very hyper puppy but to not mention anything to us at all is very odd. Will be finding a new groomer and asking not to noose him. Note I understand this could have been an accident but at least mention it to your customers for I could have taken him to the vet the day of. We thought at first that maybe his eyes had an allergic reactions the products used on him. We LOVED going here and thought he always looked very nice but I’m definitely not going back after this.

Update: Chewy has a new groomer he sees regularly and she is very nice to him because we wait outside for him. Chewy has not been the same since, he is petrified of strangers and shakes and breathes hard at the groomers. Whatever happened at this shop has scarred him. Extremely poor customer service. I was told $35-$45 Ended up paying more. The night before I talked to the owner and told her my pup was still a puppy and she was 1 day away from being 18 weeks old (4 months) and she said she was closer to the $35 dollar mark. I took her the day of and asked what the cost was and she again said $35-$45. I called because they only accept cash or checks to see what the total was and it was currently sitting at the $45 and she proceeded to tell me it was gunna be more depending on if they could handle her. We walked in not to long after and the other lady who works there was yelling at another dog “knock it off. Stop it” aggressive. We were walking out and my puppy peed from excitement and I said “I’m surprised you didn’t wanna charge extra for that too” she came out and told me to go else where, I had already planned on going somewhere else where they can give a solid price instead of being charged extra for things that weren’t discussed prior to the appointment. I brought my 6 month old puppy here about a week ago and will not be returning. We used to go to another place in SLC but moved to Magna so decided to give this place a try since it is much closer. I was told a a range in price over the phone and when I arrived it was much more because supposedly my puppy was not having it during the bath. Which I thought was strange as we had never had the previous groomers complain about them having an issue. My puppy is a border collie so does shed quite a bit therefore, they offered a deshedding treatment and I agreed. My puppy is now shedding more than before I even took him in.
