I'm a Day 1 customer to this store in my town and have attended the grand opening....BUT, On January 9th, at just about 10:30pm, I stopped in at the Des Plaines location to proclaim a specific bottle of juice. Upon entering the store I felt immediately awkward because there was a cloud contest being held right in front of the register, where I needed to go to pay for my product I called in for before hand. Now not only was I made to look like I was a inconvenience (by the looks I was getting from everyone in the store/contest...) but the girl behind the counter who was recording the event had to announce out loud to everyone to hold on the contest, because there was a customer who wanted to buy something. To be honest, I was about to straight walk out of your store and never return, if it wasn't for Asher who helped me very appropriately and was courteous to my purchase. CLOUD CONTESTS/COMPETITIONS ARE NOT WHAT VAPING WAS MADE FOR! THEY ARE RUINING THE VERY SOUL MEANING WHY WE GOT WHAT WE HAVE TODAY, AND INVITING MORE NEGATIVE OUTLOOKS AND NAY-SAYERS TO BASH IT EVEN FURTHER BY HOSTING CHILDISH COMPETITIVE CONTESTS! YOU'VE LOST MY BUSINESS ENTIRELY AND I HOPE WISE GUYS VAPES WAKES UP AND FIXES UP THEIR VAPE ETIQUETTE BEFORE EVERYONE WHO'S HOSTS/ATTENDS CONTESTS LIKE THIS HELP DESTROY WHAT VAPING WAS INTENTIONALLY SUPPOSED TO BE FOR...QUITTING SMOKING, NOT COMPETITIVE CONTESTS WHERE EGO SIZES AND MONEY ARE COMPARED FOR PRIZES...LOST TOTAL MEANING TO WHAT VAPING HAS DONE FOR ACTUAL CIG-QUITTERS (refer to the WGV online business statement...far from this!), AND IF IT KEEPS ON GETTING GLORIFIED BY CONTESTS LIKE THIS, EXPECT NOTHING BUT RESISTANCE...I especially do not want a apology for how rudely I was treated in your store last night, but I learned and it helped me see really how unprofessional and tende trendy WGV truly had become....sad sight to see...Thanks for your PAST service, but I'll continue my business somewhere else more noble where I don't walk into a social awkward situation that deterrents ppl from buying cig-quitting products. The real...
Read moreTo be perfectly honest, the care and warm welcome you receive at this shop is unmatched in the Greater Chicago Area. Their attention to detail and personable attitudes make for not only an enjoyable experience, but a comforting one. I have been to quite a few vape shops throughout the Chicago area, and this shop is in the Top 2, definitely Top 1 in Des Plaines.
I went there to replace a atty which had a melted delrin insulator, thus tainting the flavor and health of my vape substantially. Jason, I believe, was the initial gentleman who helped me and he was honest and straight-forward. He asked me all the right questions and at no point did I get the "sleazy salesman" vibe; rather I felt taken care of and heard. This welcoming and attentive attitude continued as I requested politely to have a rebuilt coil made . He jumped at the opportunity, legitimately stoked to do a new coil; the passion he has for modding and vaping is evident and inspiring.
If you want knowledge, care, and a chill, inviting atmosphere, then cruise here for some fun and chase cloudz with Chi-Town's best. Their juice selection is awesome, and the conversationalists behind the juice bar will brighten your day,
For the next best vape shop with great, knowledgeable staff and their own, GLORIOUS juice line, swing a couple blocks around the corner and check out Wise Guys Vapes, the most poppin' shop in...
Read moreGreat store and great atmosphere here. The people that work here are knowledgable and very helpful. The reason for the 2 star rating is because I went to the store in Des Plaines when they opened on a Saturday at 11am and they were closed. Had to wait in my car till they decided to stroll in at 12:30 pm. Also they were out of stock on many of the juices I ended up trying and liked. Lastly I ended up buying two different juices, received my receipt and noticed it was a lot higher that what I had expected. What happened was that I bought a smaller bottle that was $15 I believe and was charged for the larger bottle that was around $25+. I just wanted to leave at that point and just said I would take the larger bottle instead that I was charged for. I love these stores, but will be traveling to a different...
