La Nueva Michoacana Y Sus Delicias #1 — Restaurant in Maine Township

I've been to this place multiple times, and been to multiple different "La Michoacána" locations. This is the worst. The first time I ever came here was positive. I was greeted when I walked in and was attended when it was my turn. The corn is fluffy and the cheese does taste better than it's local competitor, La Michoacána on Mannheim Rd just a few blocks away. The ice cream is also made in house, rather than delivered ready. I haven't tried the crepes because I make my own so I don't have an opinion on them. This location is small but that doesn't bother me since I usually don't eat inside. They also have a $5 dollar minimum purchase to use credit/debit cards, a minor inconvenience, but still bothersome. La Michoacána on Mannheim Rd has no credit minimum. All of their products cost slightly more than its competitor on Mannheim as well. Roughly 20-30 cents more, for example. $6 for two cups of corn compared to $5 on Mannheim. Which can add up, and in my opinion I rather just go to the other one a few blocks away. All the visits after my first were negative. Upon my second visit I was skipped for someone else, who said they were first, despite me being closer in line. They lied and the employee helped the other person first, it wasn't that busy we were the only two waiting in line. The next time I come they only have ONE person there when it's a hot day, and traffic/rush hour. Guess what? Might as well go to the other location. My latest visit was the worst. There were two people working, they were attending two other people. In line waiting was me and one other person. Once the first employee finished she asked the person ahead of me if he needed helped and he said he need a few more moments, then she just left. No acknowledgement, greeting or nothing. Then when the other employee finished he helped the person in front of me. At this point the other woman returned from the back and started to clean, I don't see why she couldn't have helped me when she was just helping people. The person ahead of me was making an indecisive, prolonging order and kept asking for samples. I waited 15 minutes before I left. 5 minutes when they were both busy helping two different people and 10 minutes when they were helping ONE person, while the other cleans the cut boards in the back. Ridiculous, do you know what I've could've done in those 15 minutes? Gone to the other Michoacána located on Mannheim. It would've been one star if it wasn't for its products when you...

Worse Michoacán ever I wish a zero was a possible a score tonight I ordered on DoorDash I wait for over an hour, because the employees here gave my food to some random person because then when my dasher came the order was cancelled. When I called to ask about my order they acted like they knew nothing about until I gave my name. This is the second time that get my order wrong and the second time I encounter this rude person they have there right now she refused to give me her name and I plan on reporting this specific location. Since they do not know how to take orders or have the proper staff answer the phone. She even hung up on me and would not give me a manager....

I've been to a few La Michoacana locations, but this new one also offers crepes as the name suggests. My cousin discovered it while we were having dinner nearby so we loaded up a few car-fuls of kids and adults of all sizes. To me, the ice creams and paletas seem to be consistent with every other location, which is amazing both in quality and price. Beyond the crepe offer, this place stands out to me because the staff running it today were great. Serving a large group can be chaotic but they were organized and friendly and above all, patient with all of the kids and questions from the adults.
