I have shopped here many times and I’m several occasions I have purchased meat that was spoiled I returned it without an issue. Yesterday, I purchased some split drums that were seasoned. When I got home, I noticed a weird smell later that evening from those drums. I did not feel like going back out again, so I decided I will just return them tomorrow because they were clearly rotten and the meat had a terrible odor . I thought I wasn’t going to have a problem, returning two packages of meat that was under five dollars. I could not find my receipt at the time so I wanted to return them And I thought there wouldn’t be a problem . The manager was very stern and abrasive about no returns without a receipt whatsoever. I tried to explain to him that I just bought the meat yesterday and it smelled really bad and I just wanted to return it . He said I could not return them, or exchange them whatsoever without a receipt because I could’ve left them in my car and they could have spoiled that way . I did ask to Speak to the owner since he’s usually there, but he says he comes in at various times and he wasn’t there then warning. If I did leave in my car, and I knew they spoiled I would just have thrown them away I’ve been mean, it was only five dollars but I wanted to return The meat because I bought it from there at the time it was spoiled so it was matter of principal. I thought we were be treated very unfair, especially since I’ve shopped there so many . times clearly, that does not matter customer service as a matter customers don’t matter, especially if you don’t have a receipt, and they do not stand behind their products, and I do not want to spend my money in a place where they do not stand behind their product and being treated disrespectfully. I understand that this is a small neighborhood store But creates a lot of revenue Great selection of items. But clearly customer service is on the bottom of the list. The Packaging sticker did not expire until the 15th and you could clearly smell it through the bag. The manager was very adamant about not honoring a return or refund. I believe that Policy is unfair for consumers especially if you’re buying meat I understand that you have to put a threshold on certain things, but five dollars come on And especially if you want customers to come . back. The manager told me he’s never had a problem with any meat there or for any anyone having any issues with buy meat! . I told him that’s not true because I’ve come back before and also, I’m not taught I wasn’t talking about him personally So he definitely does not have any skills at all . It wasn’t like the meat Was $20.50 or even hundreds 100s of dollars it was five dollars for two packs of meat and he would not budge on even offering to exchange it or take it back. I was totally disappointed by His response to his Response and his treatment in this, matter.
So I was determined to find that receipt so I could take everything we bought there back and never shop there again! So my daughter and I went home, and I told her to find the receipt to see if it was In the bag of her other items. We eventually found the receipt and so we decided to take back everything We bought the day before, based on how we were treated because The manager was very rude. I will not be shopping At Oak Farms ever again because how I was treated and their store policy And not standing behind their product, especially for...
Read moreThis Supermarket is a spacious and well-stocked place with different assortments of goods. However, the biggest advantage of this supermarket is the prices! Within 7 miles, there is no one to beat Sam's low fruit and vegetable prices! No matter how many times I went to the supermarket, I always saw the same middle-aged man who kept arranging the goods and helping the other employees. I was impressed by his diligence, and one day I told him that I really liked his diligence and presence, asking him to contact me with the manager, or the store owner, to express my admiration for him. And he modestly answered me - I am the owner of this supermarket! My name is Sam, I'm glad you like my supermarket! I had no words to describe my surprise and admiration! Tell me, when have you seen the owner of a large supermarket stand all day between the shelves and arrange the goods, and helping in the choice of buyers !? This calm, quiet and hardworking man deserves our support in these difficult times, just because of his hard work and understanding of customers! Merry Christmas Sam! Thank you! Christopher,...
Read moreWe discovered this intriguing market a few months ago. I love the fact they offer generous samples, although I kind of regret eating the sushi - too fishy and I briefly felt ill. For the most part, their prices are competitive and they have an eclectic selection of ethnic delicacies - sometimes at better prices than Valli. I wish we needed pure maple syrup, because $13.99 for 32 ounces is a great deal! I like that they make sale items stand out clearly on shelves and it's a brilliant idea to have digital prices instead of paper.
I do have to say I was flabbergasted last Saturday when I saw they were selling Harvest Snaps (Snapea Crisps) for $3.99 for a standard 3.3 ounce bag!!! I have bought these for as low as $1.00 and they are frequently on sale for $1.50! Are they out of their minds, did somebody screw up big time, or perhaps these crisps are...
