Khyber Bazar — Local services in Manassas

My husband and I stumbled upon this store, and the moment I saw the “Khyber” sign, a wave of nostalgia hit. I just had to check it out! First off, this is one of the cleanest stores. I’ve ever visited. Usually, shops that sell meat have that lingering smell, but not here. To the right, I noticed a lovely selection of dried fruits and nuts. I’m usually not a fan of dried fruits because they rarely taste fresh, but then I spotted mulberries something I rarely see and fondly remember from my childhood. I grabbed some, and they were incredibly fresh! Most dried fruits are stale and dry, but these were perfect, the texture and all. When we checked out, the store clerk was so warm and welcoming. We are a middle aged American couple. Randomly stooped by to check out new store. Khyber took the time to show us around. My fav was bulk foods. He gave us samples and opened our eyes to new old things! Who knew that Almonds or Pistachios could be so much better than we’re used to. I asked for rack of lamb. They cut it right in front of us. They even cut excess off. Apparently never frozen, looks amazing. Price was a fraction of Weigmans or even Cosco. Lamp has a nice layer of fatty skin on it too! Can’t wait to grill it.
