Dr. Gumbo was a blast! His foodie introduction to New Orleans was just what the doctor ordered. He loves his food and he loves his city, and he helps you to love both as well. Not only did he take us to several wonderful restaurants from fancy to street fare, but his knowledge and presentation of the city's history really helped us understand New Orleans complexity and diversity. Building up layer upon layer, the many influences from France, Africa, Germany, England, Ireland and other places helped us to appreciate not just the food, but the culture and music as well. What an amazing history this city has! What a wonderful way to learn about that history while eating delicious food!
