Customer service . I love the hot food but the staff looks so miserable and depressed. I would say 90% of them never greets you with a smile. No eye contact no hi,hello or thanks have a nice day. The hot food area. A lot of the newer food servers are rude the way they serve the food like it's slop that they're putting into the container. I've seen numerous of times customers having to ask the servers can they put more food in the containers as I've had to ask as well; not sure why, I am paying for the food. Cashiers don't even look or acknowledge you when your being rang up. They don't even tell you they totol price unless you say "how much"? I've experienced. Even your customer service is horrible To put it lightly. When you talk to them I've experience no eye contact. Look down when taking to you. I don't care where your from customer service is important for any company. I don't know if they're being treated bad by the company or they all just have misrabull life's because it's all on the faces in the way they treat your customers like me. I love the food and would not want to stop coming as I'm in your store a lot and I love to support local businesses and would hope you take my experience in your store and provide your staff with some kind of inservice on customer service . That other 10% that have good customer service I've experienced are some of the much mature staff and upper management. I hope one day to walk in your store to be greeted with friendly faces and that your staff are happy to have my business. 3stars for the good food and prices. Sinserly A local...
Read moreFalse advertising! Buyer be ware. I went there on 4/9/2021. Tried to purchase some Iberia small beans, pinto beans and pigeon peas. They were advertised as being .79¢ and .99¢. When they rung them up they came out to $1.69 and $1.19. I told the cashier it was ringing up a different price she said to talk to the manager. I signaled them manager she pointed to. The lady came over and said wait I have to talk to the manager. She went and spoke to someone in the office and back, and said that the price that they were ringing up is the correct price. They refused to lower the price. I told her that I wanted to speak to the manager. They went and got Stella the manager. I told her what was happening and she went and spoke to the same lady in the office Alejandra and told her why didn’t she lower the price because it’s advertised as being a lower price. She told her you know that’s what you should do. Stella came back out and said I’ll ring them up for you at the advertised price. I said no thank you I’ve waisted enough time trying to buy this. The only reason I even reported this is because the people that tend to go and buy their groceries here are getting ripped off left and right. We are in very hard times and some don’t have the means to properly provide for their families. I’d give this place minus 2...
Read moreThis is a great supermarket if you are looking for authentic ingredients for latino, haitian, and other ethnic types of food. They have a ready supply of a vast array of fruits and vegetables, including mangoes, green and yellow bananas, coconuts, and all the other fruits and vegetables you could need. The more mainstream american items are about average in price or more expensive by a few cents but the traditional ethnic foods are reasonably priced. Any time we cook something special in my home we visit Presidente supermarket for the ingredients that we need. This supermarket is conveniently located near the forty fifth street tri rail station just off fourty fifth street. There is a large parking lot with plenty of spaces, so there is always somewhere to park when visiting this supermarket. The Presidente supermarket is handicap accessible, and has plenty of shopping carts. Be sure to try the guava and mango wafers...
