Hooks Fresh Eats — Restaurant in Mangonia Park

Wow! I called today 1/24/23 to place an order for 800 wings for a Thursday event. We would pick up the order. I was turned away and told we don't take orders prepaid and In advance!! WHAT!! That's a $1000 order you just turned away. I operate a business and would never turn away profit. Wing stop happily took the order form us. We were trying to support Hooks.

update: my original review stated that we offered to pick it up and pre-pay it!! We had the credit card in our hands to pay it when we called 2 days in advance of the event we called a chicken restaurant for a chicken offered to pre-pay it that day and pick it up and we were told over the phone we don't do that we don't take orders in advance and we don't take prepaid. I was shocked I heard her asking someone in the background the manager I think she said it was the manager and I heard him say no . so I don't know who owns this restaurant, but the owner needs to see this. His team is turning away business because Wingstop said come through and took the order food not as good as yours but they took the order so please don't come at me until you have thoroughly read my...

Hit or miss with this location. A few weeks back, I got a wing dinner and large coleslaw...my god everything was on point! I'm a coleslaw fanatic, love it and when I say the slaw I got that day was banging! Well alls well that didn't end well with follow-up visits. I have gone back twice since then and both times since then coleslaw has been HORRIBLE, OLD and DRY. Food has been subpar, fries greasy cooked in old grease. Fried oysters smelt so fishy couldn't even stand to eat them. The weekend food is totally different from the during the week food. Must be different cooks because it ain't it some days.

My recommendation is check your food before...

Please becareful and always ask them for a Receipt!! In KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS!!In double check all of your transactions because the ladies in the window are charging the wrong prices for orders it recently happened to me i always order the same exact thing 3wing dinner with fries for 7.48 and sometimes i might get a slush that is 10.68 in they charge me 11.75 twice ?? And then I look back at other charges that I have frm months ago I dont remember im waiting for all of the charges to finish processing in i have some Receipts im going try to see if the receipt are going to add up if not I will be showing the bank TO GET MY...
