Encore IS family. Alvina and Elaina, who run the studio, and all of the teachers (Dana, Emily, Melissa, etc.) are invested in the maturity of each dancer both as dancers and as people.

My daughter has grown technically as a dancer. The instruction is excellent as the teachers attend conferences and workshops to keep current and continue to grow as teachers. My daughter and another dancer had the opportunity to learn the lira at Lancaster Circus School, which was an incredible opportunity to do something totally different! Encore made the experience to try circus arts available to all of the students by offering it in their summer intensive. The friendships my daughter has made at Encore are deep and strong. Some of her friends go to her school and some don’t which offers her a different peer group for her to experience. She is an assistant teacher for the younger girls, which enriches her life in so many ways. That’s probably her favorite “dance day” of the week. Our “Encore Family” is huge and amazing. Together we raise thousands of dollars for charity, serve the senior population with performances at senior living centers, WOW crowds at parades, craft shows, and Hershey Park. The best thing about Encore is that my daughter has a place to go where she thrives. A place where she is supported by the teachers and her friends and where she is learning to be supportive and encouraging.She has a place to grow up under the supervision of an excellent staff who are good people first and foremost. My daughter plans to pursue dance after high school at the university Level. Her talent is being developed at Encore, making her competitive for the few spots available at the higher level. She is very self motivated and the teachers at Encore see that. They help encourage her passion and focus her drive. We are grateful our daughter has found her second family at Encore. After our dance studio director retired and closed her studio, we found ourselves in search of a new “dance home.” A friend recommended Encore Dance Center. Once we entered the studio and met its enthusiastic and friendly director, dedicated and kind staff and experienced and exceptional teachers, we knew we’d found that new home for our children. Encore Dance Center is a studio where children and teens learn dance technique and skills, make lasting friendships and have a place to call home. I’ve never met a more dedicated team of people - teachers, staff and director - anywhere. They are a team. And they ensure every need of each of their many dance students is met. We tried several area studios/classes before coming to Encore, and when your kid comes out saying "Sign me up!" with a huge smile on her face, you know you've found the right studio! Thanks to Encore, my daughter has found a love of dance and wonderful role models in the teachers, assistants, and even the older dancers. They truly are a higher caliber and class of talent than anything else you will find in this area.
