This place is, hands down, without a doubt or half a moment's hesitation, the veritable Hope Diamond atop Mankato's shining diadem of hidden gems. Someday I hope to be able to afford admission to the bigger permanent exhibition hall upstairs. But even the temporary free admission exhibits downstairs are enough to make a visit well worth anybody's time who feels anything like a semblance of actually belonging to this place: Blue Earth County, in the US State of Minnesota, at the outer, southern bank of the slow (if not quite lazy) Minnesota River just downstream from its confluence with the faster and more turbulent Blue Earth River, where the two rivers conjoined into one flow Northward toward St Peter (intended to be Minnesota's Capitol before St Paul was chosen, instead) on the North American Continent just like the Rhine does at Köln on the European...
