
I've been a client of Kennedi's for quite some time. She is fantastic and gives the best pedicures, but my most recent visit really upset me. On Saturday afternoon, I online booked an appointment with Kennedi for Monday morning at 9am. Got an email confirmation. On Sunday morning and later Sunday afternoon, I got texts from Allure saying I had a pedicure appointment with Emily. I tried to respond to the text, but it is auto-generated, and I couldn't call the salon because they are closed on Sunday.
I went to my appointment on Monday morning. Emily was there to greet me and told me that I was going to be seeing her for my pedi. Totally fine because she does great pedicures. However, I did book the appointment with Kennedi.
What I come to find out is that the owner, Peggy, switched to my appointment so someone else could have Kennedi instead during my scheduled appointment. As a returning customer, this didn't sit well with me.
Peggy came in to explain the situation, about how she wasn't fully awake when she was changing things on the computer on Sunday, how even though I didn't get the girl I requested, I would still get great service, and that this was somehow my fault because I didn't check the box while booking that says "i'm a returning client." If they look at their books, they'll know I am a returning client.
Nowhere in this conversation did Peggy ever apologize. The art of saying, "I'm sorry" is so much more appreciated and appropriate than a bunch of excuses.
I plan to keep coming to this salon, because I really like Kennedi, and I really like Emily. But I think doing a switcharoo like this without even consulting the client is disrespectful to both the client and the stylist they have an existing...

Bleeding and crazy colored streaks that I didn't even ask for is not normal which the owner told me it was. The owner of the salon is a woman with a bit of an anger issue. She actually started yelling at me over the phone and talking to me like I was a child. The place stinks literally smells bad and it ain't hair dye. I would not give any business to this place they might have some decent stylist but the woman who owns it is very righteous and obviously does no wrong in her own eyes. She could not even bring herself to be understanding to the situation at hand. I have never encountered a worse owner of a company well I wouldn't exactly call this a company. Or a spa it's not even close kind of a hole in the wall dumpy looking suits the attitude of the owner. I mentioned to the owner that they had horrible reviews online and she said well don't come here if I reviews are so bad why would you ever come here and I said I don't know it was close and I didn't think you could mess up a simple cut and color. The woman yelled at me that I do not know what I was asking for ha ha I don't know what I'm asking for to be done to my own hair? The highlights were supposed to be blonde, NOT HER WHOLE HEAD!! She's a brunette and has been getting blonde highlights since 2007 and never had an issue. And the haircut looks like a 12-year-old did it. Peggy, the owner had to step in and try to fix the cut, but couldn't. So, I took it upon myself to see if they would be willing to fix the problem, and 3 days later, their response was basically, sorry about your luck. We will not service you. Our son's baby shower is July 28th, and she doesn't even want to go because of how she looks. I explained to my wife that her color and cut would be the equivalent of me shaving my head.
