Can't say I'm too pleased with the customer service aspect. I reached out on a Monday afternoon to ask if a screen was in stock for my phone. They replied yes, quoted the price and stated it would only take 10-15 minutes. I explained that I attempted the rear camera replacement hence the broken screen. They offered to put it in free of charge (or a small fee if it was difficult) since the phone would be open for the screen replacement. I brought in the phone/camera part around 4pm. It was 4:40 before I received an update on the estimated time. I did have to return to Shelby (this trip was on me, not their fault). I then drove back to cell world to pick up my phone & back to Shelby. I noticed the clarity wasn't clear as I would have expected with a new camera unit. They also called and stated they forgot to put my screen protector on & to stop back in. When I arrived back (this will be the first trip due to their mistake), I pointed out the clarity issue and how the lens appeared dirty under the cover. After they took a look at it, they determined the old camera was pulled out and mistakenly put back in. Unfortunately I did not have it on me due to switching vehicles. The owner requested that I stop after 2 the next day to have the new camera put in. I stopped the next day around 3, he was not there. The other employee stated he would be in shortly. Once he arrived, they took the phone apart, put the new camera in and it was fixed. He had advised that I put a protective cover over the lens to prevent this issue in the future. I believe he was still going to charge 10$ for this small part and started to walk out of the store. I got his attention and explained my disappointment with making two 50 minute round trips due to a mistake they made. Time is money. That doesn't count the time I spent waiting for the repairs. There was no attempt to apologize for the inconvenience prior to me getting his attention. I don't expect the service to be completely covered, or the parts for free. But I would hope that a business owner would understand the importance of respecting a customer's time ( and gas expense ) due to the mistakes made. I own a business, I understand things happen. I would have likely chosen to return in the future had customer recovery been attempted. While I appreciate his willingness to put in the camera free of charge, a shop down the road offered the same exact thing (free of charge with install of a new screen). Read moreI had some issues with a tried and trusted iPhone 8 with a battery issue. I suppose that after a very rough life, it was time to get a new battery. I called a few places to find out where I could get a battery replacement. These guys won due to their late night service time. While most places were closed by 6, these guys were open until 8. Well, they tried to replace the battery and they successfully changed it out and I left. During the process of opening the phone and changing the battery, they brought out the phone and showed me some rust and oxidation that was forming on the circuits inside the phone. Totally my fault, but they were being completely transparent with the low hopes that a new battery would fix my issues in the long term. Mind you, during this time, there was plenty of time for them to start pushing me towards a new phone. That didn't happen. They got a new battery installed, showed me that the health of the battery was back up to 100% and I left.
Fast forward about an hour...
I realized that my side button for power wasn't working. I called them and told them that something was up and that I'd be returning to the store. Long story short was that while the battery was back to fresh, I now had an iPhone that couldn't take screenshots and also crippled in the way that I couldn't turn it off. The tech went into the settings and created an accessibility shortcut that could do all of that for me.
Still at this point, nobody was pushing me to spend any more money on a new phone!
I was the one who initiated the conversation concerning a new phone. Look, I went in with the idea of spending $100, not $800-$1000! Well, what happened in the end was that they refunded me ALL of the money that I spent on the battery and gave me a fair deal on a refurbished iPhone12 mini. I couldn't have been happier. They took the extra hour to do the complete transfer from my old phone and got me completely set up.
They went the extra mile to get me taken care of in the end and ended up letting me keep the battery in the old phone to continue to use for streaming and whatever I could. Honestly, they had probably 3+ hours in taking care of me and they didn't bat an eye at loosing the cost of the battery just to make sure I was totally satisfied.
I would recommend them to anyone have thoughts of fixing their phone. Very honest and you know what your going to have in fixing your phone and if there is any issues, they stand behind their work.

Read moreI went to Verizon to get my charging port cleaned out and they were unable to do it. The Verizon employees actually referred me to Cell World and they spoke very highly about them.
Upon arrival, I was greeted immediately by a worker, later identified as one of the owners, and he took care of me.
He took the time to explain the process to me and informed me of the stores special that was currently going on. He additionally took the time to answer my questions with honesty which reflected on his integrity and passion for his business.
Once my phone was finished, he not only tested it, but insisted I tested it out to ensure I was satisfied prior to leaving. Not only was it just fixed, it worked as new, which was very impressive considering how much debris was in it.
I very rarely leave reviews not because of the time it takes but because of the world we live in. It is rare to find businesses with owners and or employees that are willing to take the time to not only be great business people but great people in general.
If you ever need speakers, screen protectors, phones, electronics fixed, cleaned or repaired, this is THE place to go.
It should be known that their screen protector, phone case and speaker selection is bigger than Best Buy, Verizon and Walmart.
