Yesterday I had the opportunity to be the recipient of excellent Customer Service from the folks at Phantom H-D. I am nearing the end of a 15,000 mile trip that has spanned the continent. I have been to Alaska, across Canada and into New England. While riding in Illinois yesterday the ABS light on my 2015 Ultra Limited came on and stayed on. I used my GPS to find the nearest dealer and that was Phantom. I went into the service department and the checked the bike to see what the problem was. Turns out that it was a rear wheel bearing that had failed. Unfortunately I did not catch the names of all the folks I met there yesterday, but the one that stands out is Brad, the service techs that led the efforts. I had about 64,500 miles on the bike and would have gotten it in somewhere for a 65K service. I also was going to replace the tires when I had that service done. Brad mentioned that the rear tire should be replaced as it was under the minimum tread depth. I told him I had been holding off on tires and was going to have them done when I had the service done. Then I asked if there was any way they could replace the tires and do the full service. He checked the schedule and said he could juggle a couple of thing around nd get it done. Mind you, I arrived there unannounced a little after 2:00 PM, and the service department closes at 6:00 PM. They not only did the tires and 65K service, but they also made the repairs to the bearings, replaced the ABS sensor at the rear wheel, checked the front bearings and saw that they were about to fail, so they replaced those also. And they got my bike nice and shiny. One of the guys, and I did not get his name, spent a lot of time cleaning everything. The chrome is now sparkly, the Radioactive Green paint glows again, and he polished windshield. In addition to the guys in the shop the folks in the sales area and parts department were all very friendly and welcoming. You would have thought that I was a regular customer who bought the bike there and comes around often. Thank you all for the prompt and courteous service.
The work on the bike was completed around 6:30 and I was on my way around 6:45. I was able to get to my hotel in Kokomo, Indiana, safely and feeling confident in my ride.
Thanks to everyone at Phantom H-D. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a new bike or looking for service in the area. And thanks again to Brad and the service department for staying late to keep me...
Read moreHonestly, they hustled me. I was made to believe that i was getting a spectacular deal on a bike that only had 700 miles on it that was listed for 21k. i put down 6000 dollars cash and was not given any paperwork that i signed, no bill of sale, no contract, no itemized list of what i purchased as far as gap and extended warranties. i was only given a single sheet of paper that said "certified pre-owned" and told the rest would be mailed to me. now less than a month later i have to sell the bike due to medical reasons and they told me i am already upside down on my loan, i somehow owe 22,700 on a bike that was listed for 21k that i put 6000 cash down on. and they told me they could only offer me back 17000 to buy the bike back after less than one month in perfect condition. which means they want me to pay another 5700 dollars in order for them to take the bike off my hands. and when i went in on friday to cancel my gap insurance and extended warranty to take it off the principal of the loan they just had me sign a blank form and told me "they would handle it" all the while they were forcing this poor girl nikki to work their finance department while she was literally in tears from a personal matter the day i went in to do so. so basically they want me to pay 10700 dollars for a one month test ride. not to mention it is an FDIC violation for them to have not given me any of the paperwork i signed the day of and the district manager for all the harley dealers in the region has just informed me that what they did is a huge federal violation and that stuff is required by law to be given the day of purchase. i would never go to this place for another bike ever in my entire life. I have found a much better dealership in Joliet/shorewood called Conrad's. They have been entirely sympathetic to my horrible situation and have been doing everything in their power to fix this horrible mess as best they can and they are a wonderful team and have a beautiful facility. save yourself a huge headache and just make the trip to conrad's. you...
Read moreI had brought my bike in for an issue regarding my security fobs not allowing me to start the bike, we did a process of elimination and ended up having to bring it to the dealership. Had them check it out and discovered the issue. The service department was great, very friendly, kept me informed of everything. I ended up needing to order the part I was able to take my bike home and bring it back when the part arrived. When I brought it back they had me back on the road in 1 business day, which is great. Everything is working as it should. Stevie in service is amazing she was very helpful and kept in touch to get me in and out. I am very happy with my visit here. The only issue I had was when I got home I notice they forgot to put the 2 bolts back in under the seat to the mount above the battery. It’s a plastic mount that holds the BCM. I’ll find new bolts but that was the only issue. Entire facility was great, we sat around the first time we brought the bike in we were asked if we needed anything, everyone was friendly. I was so tempted to trade my scoot in for a new roadglide haha. Seems like a great place, they treated me well. So I’d recommend them! Thank you everyone, keep up the great work and providing great customer service! OH they even gave my bike a quick bath too!!!!...
