I am given David’s bridal one star because my experience with them was horrible first let me just say that my dress was beautiful. It was amazing the dress that I picked was amazing. but I felt that the Customer Service was horrible. I feel that as a bride you want to feel Beautiful and you want the service that everyone else is given.and I believe that the color of my skin and my weight. Was the reason that I didn’t get the proper service like everyone else from the minute I walked in the door. I didn’t feel that I was welcome or wanted there and to be quite honest if it wasn’t last minute that I had to get a dress for my Wedding I probably would not have purchased from david’s bridal. the minute I walked in the door I felt that all of the other white brides were getting so much attention. My service was rushed even when I went in the back to try on dresses I was not greeted nor welcomed dresses were dropped off in my dressing room and people were walking away from me and said oh if you need anything, just go and call me whereas the other brides, they were circled around with store managers, and talk to about how beautiful they looked, and I sat in the corner by myself in tears because I had no family at the time and I went to go try on dresses and I was by myself and I literally felt by myself the entire experience. It was horrible so I give David’s bridal a one star and I recommend that if you are black, or a Plus, size woman, sorry to say or mixed. I would recommend to take your service elsewhere to where you Will be welcomed and feel beautiful before your wedding day from the time I was a little girl, I dreamt about how it would be when I went dress shopping, and the experience that I have gotten from David’s bridal was one that I will never forget, and all I can say is shame on you David’s bridal for making any bride feel that they are not welcome because the color of their skin or their weight and for not treating every bride as though they were beautiful and not pick and choose who you feel is beautiful. So with that being said, I’m gonna post a few pictures of my wedding because although my Experience was horrible. I was the most beautiful bride that you...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at David’s Bridal. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by an associate who was unnecessarily rude. When I mentioned I usually wear a size 4, she loudly said, “I don’t mean to be rude, but you’re a size 10/12,” in front of other customers. She wore a tape measure around her neck but never used it to confirm sizing. I had already found a size 4 dress on my own, but her comment led me to search through larger sizes. She eventually suggested I try on the dress I liked first—which turned out to be the size 4—and it fit well, aside from needing a new zipper, a hem, and some bust adjustments. I’m fuller-chested and needed ties added to the back. She then recommended a size 6, which didn’t zip and was too loose in the hips and waist. During my alteration fitting, there was no chair in the dressing room, so I had to sit on the floor to put my shoes on. No one explained that if I didn’t need a train, I’d be better off without one—the bustle looked awkward and wasn’t a permanent solution. The dress was a great find at $900, but the alterations cost $1,036—more than the dress itself. In my opinion, David’s Bridal double and triple charges for alterations. The staff seemed either unmotivated or lacked proper training. The true cost of alterations wasn’t disclosed until it was too late. My dress was at the store for a month but wasn’t ready until just days before I left for my wedding. No quality control check was done until I was already sitting there waiting for my final fitting. While I loved the dress overall, the bust area remained problematic—even after extensive alterations. I had to use double-sided tape to keep it in place. When I asked the associate how she would feel in my situation, she agreed it was unacceptable after spending over $1,000 on alterations. Final advice: Buy your dress at David’s Bridal if you find one you love—but get your alterations done elsewhere. Do not disclose where you are getting the dress altered until you’ve received a firm price quote for the dress; I believe they will charge more for the dress if not altered at their store. Google "David Bridal Alterations" prior to booking! I...
Read moreI've been shopping at David's Bridal in Maple Shade, NJ. Well today I decided not anymore. We are renewing our vowels, having 2 ceremonies. I purchased two gowns from David's, one online and one in the store. I called prior to my fitting to ask questions, no one knew anything and I was transferred to 3 people with still no answers. I went to the store and they did my fitting, my dress only needed taken in a little, they wanted to charge me $100 after I already spent a significant amount of money. I declined. I asked about the dress I purchased online and if it could be returned in the store as I liked it but wanted to look at other dresses. All the customer service ladies ran and hid and no one knew if I could return a dress I purchased online in the store. I said forget it and left the store. The custom service is very poor. I will not be returning. Shopping for a wedding gown should be a joyous occasion, but its been nothing but a headache shopping here. I should've know when I brought my bridal gown and the lady was rushing me and I purchased a gown that day, spending $700.
Regarding the above review. I was contacted by the store, apologized to and asked to come back in as I went today 9/10 and had a great experience. My dress was corrected, I got another new dress and I'm happy and feel very confident about my big day. Thank you Aileen and team, I appreciate you all for having me come in again and have a great experience. Q. Leach **& I picked up my gown on 10/6 for our destination vowel renewal, it fit perfectly and I got a ton of compliments. I'm trying to attach pics but it...
