My friend & I could not agree on a spot to eat for my birthday. I'm pescatarian & dairy free so the first place she suggested was decent, but I wanted a little more "pizzazz". I actually found this place first, but was hesitant because it said reservations recommended (I just wanted to go somewhere lowkey, be able to get in at a decent time when we arrive). As I scanned through other places, but she winded up sending this place back to me and the rest was history. We ordered the following: Shumai (appetizer), Shrimp Hibachi (comes with Soup, Salad, Shrimp, Vegetable & Fried Rice), & Jumbo Sushi (2pcs Tuna, 2pcs Salmon, 2 pcs Yellowtail, 2pcs Eel, 1 California Roll w/ soup or salad). Everything was delicious, the hibachi a little on the salty side. Sushi was phe-nom-enal- super fresh, cut immaculately, perfect portions. The only thing was the customer service lacked friendliness. There were multiple people walking around, but didn't greet or anything, just checked if you wanted a water refill or remove dishes (felt like they didn't want to interact. The overall ambiance/atmosphere was there, just need a little more in...
Read moreI had a wonderful meal here. I really really enjoyed the sushi pizza. The service was lovely, the seating was comfortable, and we did not have to wait long despite going on a Friday night. I would recommend this place!
**Edit 6 months later. I came back to this place with my partner and we of course, got the sushi pizza again. It was incredibly delicious, just like we remembered it. It is still pretty pricey tho at $17. I took one star off of my review because this time we did not get sushi but we tried their hot foods. I got the Nabe Yaki Udon and my partner got the Mai Fried Rice. Both of these dishes were pricey, at $20 dollars each and both of them were really disapointing. My udon broth had no flavor, with the veges and chicken boiled and put together with the udon in the most bland way. My partner's fried rice was really oily and lacked flavor as well. Such a stark contrast from our experience last time. I figured if you decide to come here, avoid the hot foods. It is really not...
Read moreWe recently dined at Yokohama, with high expectations, having heard much about their sushi and hibachi offerings. Unfortunately, our experience fell significantly short of our hopes.
Firstly, we felt that the service could have been more welcoming. Our waitress came across as cold and unwelcoming. This was off-putting to say the least and put a damper on our evening.
Moreover, the most concerning part of our visit was the aftermath. Our entire party suffered from food poisoning following our meal, which was distressing and deeply disappointing.
Given this experiences, we have decided not to return. We believe that customer service and food safety are paramount in the dining experience, and unfortunately, our visit did not meet these standards. Ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and, most importantly, serving safe food should be...
