I don't know why it's taken me so long to write a review for NCG but here are my takeaways.
Culture: this place is heaven for any movie fan or anyone with kiddos. Tickets food and drink are gonna be cheaper than your big brand theaters and there are a lot of ways to save. I personally go once a week for their $6 tickets on Tuesdays & you can pay for a refillable popcorn bucket that you can bring back whenever you like(I don't have this). The staff is nice if not super enthusiastic but they are mainly young somewhat angsty teenagers/earlyyy adults and I'm sure they aren't getting paid enough to do the extras lol. NCG also routinely host a variety of extremely affordable events for children/families such as the $2 tickets they have for family move days or some of the sensory movies I've seen them host for children with special needs.
Viewing experience: The actual screens/auditoriums themselves are nothing to write home about I would actually say the screens can be a little dark at times and the audio isn't superrr blaring-ly loud and they won't have every movie release/option a place like regal might. That being said I do think the seats are extremely comfy(I think the normal seats are actually more comfortable than the VIP ones) and the auditorium does feel a lot more personal compared to bigger brands which I really appreciate. The temperature is perfect for me, I hate how cold most theaters are it makes it almost impossible for me to stay awake, NCG is a very mild and mellow temperature probably somewhere around 69° but I can see how someone might feel hot in the auditorium.
Summary: if I could dock some points for the screen/audio & rate this a 4.4/5 I would but I can't so that being said I'm gonna give NCG 5/5 I think the affordability and the experience of just going to YOUR local cinema is unmatched.
If you enjoy movies or got some kids, nephews, etc go get out the house &show some love.
TLDR: 4.4/5š Screens, audio, and movie selection could be better but it more than makes up for it in affordability and family options. This is the NEIGHBORHOOD cinema group after all I don't walk in expecting 10 IMAX screens.
I'm taking 2 of my nephews and myself to watch a movie and get some popcorn this weekend for under $13 I think that's a testament in itself.

Usually I enjoy this theater. However, today I was completely taken aback and not in a good way. But first, I need to rewind a bit...
On yesterday, February 16, 2020 I decided to go to this theater. Around 8pm mid movie the fire alarm begins to sound with the alerting message āthis sound indicates that there is a fire in the building and to use the nearest exitā. Myself, my date and the rest of the theater quickly head to the emergency exit to leave the building. I rush to my car and leave to get as far away from the building as possible. This is not what ultimately left me in the state of confusion.
I called today, February 17, 2020 just before 3pm to inquire on a potential refund. I was greeted by Megan who I ask about the refund. Her response to me was what was disappointing. She told me that all of that was taken care of on yesterday just after the fire alarm situation was settled and that I was supposed to have waited until the fire department cleared everything. Hmmm. I told her that I left immediately because being anywhere near a potential fire is dangerous. I confirmed with her that what she was telling me was to stay around in the parking lot of a building that was possibly experiencing a fire somewhere in order to get a refund? She then stated that there was no fire and that it was just some teenagers that pulled the alarm... Still, that does not mean that the sensible thing to do in the event of a potential fire was to wait around in order to receive a refund.
She then told me that moving forward the protocol whether at this location or any movie theater if this ever happens again is to wait outside of the building that is potentially on fire either in its parking lot or the one next to it in order receive compensation. I advised to her that for her, moving forward she should never give this advice to anyone ever again. Because what you literally just told me was that I was supposed to have waited outside of a building that could be hazardous to my life in order to receive a refund.
My recommendation is that all employees, not just Megan receive proper training on what to say during these situations. Itās very unfortunate. Sadly, I wonāt be returning to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNCG Marietta Cinemas is a great value movie theater. The place felt a bit small on the inside and there are no frills, but I am okay with that. I visited Sunday to see a matinee (Bad Boys for Life) with my best friends. We made an online reservation the day before to ensure that we had good seating for the show. The online process was simple, and you could see the theater layout and proximity to the screen when selecting the seats. The only thing that I disliked about my experience was that purchasing online tickets did not save time in the line when we arrived. We arrived at 4 PM thinking that it would be enough time (with the previews) and ended up missing the first few minutes of the movie because we had to wait in the same line as concessions and same day payments. Knowing this for next time, I would recommend arriving 15-30 minutes before the scheduled movie time, especially on weekends for new releases. There were a lot of people there (even for a matinee). If you live near the area, then Iād recommend purchasing tickets at the theater early instead of online, because it is not really āconvenientā (you are charged a convenience fee) like other theaters where advanced payment allows you a faster line or skip of the line. On a positive note, they have a rewards program that gives you one large popcorn upon registering. I received the email about 2 hours after registering (Saturday) and verified my account about 20 minutes before going to theater (Sunday). I was able to present the offer on my phone. NCG Marietta Cinemas offers free refills on any size drinks and popcorn. The popcorn is fresh and delicious especially with the butter added. The restroom was clean (stalls and surrounding areas) with automated hand dryers. The movie tickets are inexpensive ($5 Tuesdays) and $7 matinees. Iāve gotten to the point where I refuse to pay $15 + for a movie. The seats are comfy and they recline (I didnāt know until after, so next time I will recline and bring a blanket). Overall, Iād recommend this for a budget friendly outing. However, I will note that there are other theaters that have matinees in the same price range for a more comfortable and...
