It really disappoints me that I have to write this review as I originally had faith in this family owned dealership. I went to Platinum Cars after visiting the dealer next door because they had a version of a car I was looking for but with many more upgrades. The sales guy Eddie is amazing, as well as Bryce and there was one other guy who was super down to earth... and the reason they received a star from me. They are all going places and gave five star service.
Where things went left for me is when it came down to financing. I was told I was approved and was giving numbers up front of what my payments would be and interest rate. I was very clear that I wanted to stay within a certain budget and price for the car, and asked twice what was the final number on the car (after taxes, gap insurance etc) and they kept giving me excuses of why the total number wasn't listed on the paper. When I totaled everything up, it was one number... what they financed me for was a total different number. Once I got in finance, suddenly the payments were higher than on the original quote that i was given AND he added months onto the back end of my financing without okaying that with me. He also added 150% gap and a warranty that took my total over $10K what I expected to pay for the car.
When it came time to sign paperwork, we signed all of the documents by physical paper, except for the ones with the total price and payments, he gave me an electronic pad to sign without showing me the numbers (I didn't realize this until I got home and looked at the paperwork). .He kept acting like he was doing me favors and giving me deals when the whole time he was just adding more expensive packages and months onto the back end to make it seem like he was working out lower payments. Total snake behavior (his name is Joshua). I sent an email right away, and it's been a whole two days with no response to that email. (prior to buying the car they were in contact daily). It gave me total buyer's remorse and put a damper on what was supposed to be an amazing experience getting a car I've wanted for years.
If you do decide to go with this place, Here is a few tips:
Get an inspector to come out to inspect the vehicle before purchasing. This is a very important step to ensure you don't buy a lemon.
https://caradvisors.pro/ will come out same day to inspect the vehicle, the reports are thorough, and he will give a discount if he has to come back to ensure they fixed whatever comes up on his report.
Ask for the pricing on everything they throw at you (Gap insurance, full coverage warranties) and request to see final total that will be financed before you sign any paperwork.
Make sure what the quote you receive for payments and months to pay off is accurate with final numbers they give you before signing the paperwork. If not, you will walk out of there paying at least $7-10K more than you expected.
Hope this helps you in your car buying!
2 week update: I was given an off brand key with the car and it died within 10 days leaving me unable to get in or drive the vehicle. I had to pay $300 to replace the battery in that key and get another official Jeep factory key issued. So to add to my prior review, make sure you get factory keys with your vehicle
P.S. since Josh has responded but not to my particular emails, I am attaching a screenshot of the email thread. Clearly if a response was given, his name would be included in parts of this thread.
At this point it's more trouble than it's worth to try to get a resolve to all of this and I...
Read moreThis car dealership turned out to be a bit on the smaller side, but it did have mostly high-end cars. My wife and I drove in from 3 hours away to test drive a 2015 BMW 428i Convertible that we'd found on Autotrader. The saleswoman, Maleka, was very nice and helpful. The manager was also friendly, and at no time did I feel like I was being pressured. The overall experience felt similar to visiting a smaller version of a CarMax dealership, where I've also been treated well and have never been given a high-pressure sales pitch.
The only disappointment was the car itself. When we saw the car in-person, we found that the front bumper had a snapped or missing fastener that was causing a small bit of separation in the gap between the front bumper and the front drive-side fender. We walked around to the passenger side and noticed several dings and scratches on the door that were not visible in the photos on the web site. We then got in the car, and I started it up and tried some of the options, such as lowering and raising the roof. Everything was fine until I tried the stereo. Tried the FM radio. No sound. Satellite radio. No sound. I wasn't very familiar with BMW's user interface on their electronics, and I found it very unintuitive to use. Some of the controls are down by the shifter and others are up by the screen. You have to look down to where the shifter is to find the right controls to press and then look back up at the screen. The menus were awful to navigate, and at no point did the system give me any feedback to indicate that I was properly selecting stations, setting the volume, etc. Then I noticed a yellow triangular warning light with an exclamation point had lit up on the dash. I consulted the manual, which told me how to access a menu where I could see the error message. No messages were there. After spending a good 15 minutes trying to navigate the system and figure out what I was doing wrong, I asked about both the light and the stereo. They had no answers but said they'd check on them while we took it for a test drive. The test drive went fine, although the shifter was weird. You had to press a button on the left of the knob with your thumb to get it out of park, and when you did and pulled the knob toward you, it immediately shifted into drive instead of reverse, which was disconcerting. Pushing forward got you into neutral, then again to get to reverse. That was inconvenient at best and awkward at worst. We tried out different modes and finally found Sport+ mode, which I liked. After we got back, we let their service mechanics look it over. It turned out that the satellite radio was broken and was preventing any sound from coming from the stereo. This was also causing the warning light on the dash.
We decided not to buy the car, but that was entirely the car's fault. Our experience at the dealership itself and with the people there was fine. The only thing I can say is that I might have expected a high-end used car dealership to have addressed the door dings and scratches, the bumper fastener and to have tested all the car's systems, including the stereo prior to a potential buyer coming in from 3 hours away. For that I have to ding...

DO NOT RECOMMEND..it’s a long review but please DO NOT BE FOOLED!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND
I almost made my review the same day i purchased my car because the service was amazing. but as stated before .. you are treated as royalty until you sign and you’re sold the car then they do not care about nothing. I purchased a car that needed to return back here 4 times without a solution, please keep in mind i live an 1hr away. The left back tire pressure keeps decreasing , causing the tire pressure light to show on dash, sales person SHIKARA was aware of this and at first was trying her best to help, until she began to tell me that it was out of her hands ???.. First they put air, that didn’t work told me come back they miraculously find a nail now and puts a patch.. ok cool doesn’t work same issue , come back and told they would be putting a new tire on waited 4/5 hrs no communication even when i’m looking for someone to speak with. FINALLY i was told that the service person drove MY car to various tire shops looking for a tire? hmm im confused why is my car being driven around? gas being used? Definitely brung the issue up and the services manager MARIAH drove with us to a gas station and paid for the gas. Few days later same issue with the tire, why is this when they said it’s a new tire? I contact them and speak with RICHARD about the issue he mentions he will call me first thing the following day. NO CALL. I call back and now i have a conversation with KEITH who said he would let RICHARD know to reach back out … NEXT DAY NO CALLS . i call back and now im told richard isn’t there. ALSO everyone asks clueless even the ones who spoke to you. I just couldn’t understand what the issue is.. So i go outside to look at the car and now i noticed ALL FOUR TIRES ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT BRANDS & TWO DIFFERENT SIZES ( 18 in front 20 in the back) AND NOT ONE TIRE LOOKED NEW, they had no ridges , so what was i waiting for 4/5hrs in the waiting room? I was not given a key to unlock the lugs for the tire to even address the concerns in my own and when calling back MARIAH tells me there is nothing she can do it’s my problem that the key is not in the glove box or in the trunk. THERE IS NO SPARE TIRE IN THE TRUNK AS WELL. did i call back to address my concerns ? NO because it’s almost a MONTH and it feels like i have to beg to get assistance, i am taking a different route. work entirely too hard for my money. DO NOT BE FOOLED. they will provide promises and then tell you it’s out of their hands or give the run around. DO...
