Absolutely terrible experience — avoid this place at all costs. The owner was unbelievably rude and completely unprofessional. They had a brand-new server on his first day, and instead of helping when a group of 12 of us walked in, the owner just stood there watching things fall apart. Orders were taken correctly but came out wrong, and when we politely tried to address it, the owner refused to take any responsibility. Instead, he tried to charge us for the mistakes his own employee made.
We spent over $300 here and were treated like garbage — no apology, no compensation, not even a simple drink to make things right. The owner acted like we were the problem and even tried to stop us as we were leaving, demanding more money for food we didn’t order wrong. It was embarrassing and honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.
Save yourself the frustration — rude management, disorganized staff, and zero accountability. This place does not deserve...
Read moreWhen we walked in, we noticed a stack of dirty plates with cups sitting over the garage area, and they were swarming with flies really off-putting, especially since it wasn’t even busy. A worker could’ve easily cleaned it up. We had to switch tables three times because they were all dirty. When the food finally came out, it was covered in grease even the bottom of the plate. The food might be good to some, but they really need to work on cleanliness and overall presentation.

Today I visited Calle el Hambre and the experience was amazing! The place has a super original decoration, full of Venezuelan expressions and colorful murals that create a joyful vibe. The staff was very friendly from the moment I walked in.
I tried the empanadas with a Maltín Polar, and they were delicious! The dough was crispy on the outside and soft inside, with a generous and well-seasoned filling. The cold, fizzy Maltín was the perfect complement. It’s clear that they pay attention to details and that the food is authentically Venezuelan.
The menu is very complete: they offer pabellón, arepas, tequeños, burgers, grills… definitely options for every taste. I loved the atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a meal alone or sharing with friends or family.
I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy a taste of Venezuela in...
