ALDI — Local services in Marinette

The prices are great, but it always takes much too long to get in and out because there's never enough registers open. Update April 14th 2017 still, not enough registers open ! I think they're protecting them from overuse. Update November 20th 2017. Today I waited 15 minutes to get to a register. Years, and years of complaining, and still waiting for a register. UPDATE 6-13-2018, they've added a few new employees it seem to really care about their customers and do extra little things that make the waiting in line not so bad but it's still terrible to have to wait 10 minutes to go through a line when they have 4 more registers sitting there with no one on them. This store announced they're supposed to be expanding it another 1700 square feet but haven't seen a groundbreaking ceremony yet. 11-31-18 The expansion is done and it looks like they added more square footage then originally announced. Very, very nice. I don't care for the layout much because when you first walk in the store the first thing you come to is fresh fruit and vegetables which should be the last thing that you pick-up before you leave the store. I was in today shopping and when going to checkout the cashier Crystal was talking to another costumer bagging groceries while she was scanning my items. she was insulting a customer in her conversation loud and clear for others to hear and she was insulting a customer for using an EBT card and saying they are young and fine.That is absolutely not ok, she has no idea things that could be personal to him going on and it's none of her business. I told her she needs to stop that right now and she proceeds to try to make excuses and I was not having it. Never should someone be insulted and judged because they need assistance that is not right, and for an employee to be saying this aloud at a grocery store is...

Aldi is a subsidiaries of Trader Joe's... Where Trader Joe's is a super nice and high end grocery store. ALDI feels more like bargain quality... BUT... The produce (fruits and vegetables) are worth getting here. the beef is not the greatest. The chicken is very good quality here. Can't find everything here... But they have excellent bargains. I will shop here for cheap higher quality produce before heading to Jack's or Walmart. Always keep an eye on those specialty food items here...
