Alpha nails — Local services in Marion

Have been going here for a while now and so does my mother. Before I start I want to say it’s a very clean place and I loved that you had to make a appointment that way you didn’t feel like you were sharing your time. Again I would like to say Lauren is wonderful and she always made sure my nails looked great . Now the past 3/4 times I have went I had her husband and he was okay but I just didn’t like his work. This last time I went I wanted a new set because my husband and I are going to Florida and I wanted it to look very nice and fresh. I explained to him what I wanted and even showed him pictures on the shape I wanted (stiletto the same shape i always get) he stared doing them and right off they didn’t look right and I kindly said they don’t have the flat part on top. He said I know and he would fix once he put acrylic on. He then put acrylic on and started filing. He was done with the pinky finger and asked if that was the way I wanted and I couldn’t believe what I was looking at. I can’t even believe he would be okay with that. I kindly again said no I really wasn’t happy with the shape and I want to add I was very quiet and very nice about saying that. And he wasn’t having it. He just got very loud with me and kept saying that is what you wanted that is what you wanted. You wanted pointy this is pointy. Just very loud and kept pointing his finger at me saying things. I just couldn’t believe what was happening. I just simply wanted him to fix it but I just said forget it just do it. Lauren then stepped in and fixed my nails. I was in tears cause he had me so embarrassed. With ppl in there acting like that to a customer who comes to u who tips u. Who’s mother also comes to u. That’s why I don’t open my mouth and say anything about my nails if I don’t like them. They didn’t make me pay for them I did offer still and he did apologize to me but that wasn’t the point. I know ppl have a bad day. We all do but I simply just wanted him to fix the nail nicely and I guess they don’t like that. I did go to Muncie to perfect nail and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the way they turned out. I did still have to get the ones alpha nail put on cause they still didn’t look right.

Now with all of that said I’m not saying not to go here but just beware cause my mother has also said when she says she don’t like something he don’t like it either. I’m not saying to complain about everything cause no one is perfect but you wouldn’t have walked out with my nails the way they were either they ladies beside me could definitely tell they were not happy about it either.

Sorry for book but I did have to get this out cause ppl shouldn’t treat ppl like this we spend our hard earned money on this and we should be able to say if we need...

I loved most of their work and great customer service, but after taking a hiatus from pedicures (had maybe 5 in a row?) I noticed after removing the polish that I now have a significant fungal infection on one of my big toenails. I had told one Lauren I had been having pain along the sides of my toenails and it as just suggested maybe it was an ingrown.. but they also always cut down the skin away from the larger nails when doing my pedicure. I've never had issues with my feet or toes until this, i used to go natural 100% of the time prior to having these appointments, so I can only assume it was because of my nail appointment that this began.. very disappointed I nos have to deal with this.. My favorite nail salon USE to be Alpha Nails until now. I had a pedicure by Teresa and when I looked at the bottom of the heal of my feet. I showed her and she did a poor excuse of trying to fix it once I pointed it out to her. Then she gave me the purple scrubber to do it myself. I responded that's what I paid you to do. $40 + $5 tip for massaging my feet. I asked Loren for a refund and she refused to give me one. She said Teresa could fix it but I told her she already made an attempt to fix it. So I asked for a Gift Certificate and she still said no.
