This might be the most important review that you read. It requires a long trip through many smaller towns because the statues are all over Grant County. Cool Cat Garfield in Fairmount is the best one because the museum gives you something else to do. Bookworm Garfield and Dapper Garfield are inside buildings which may be closed. Stop and eat at Ivanhoe’s for the Ice Cream Garfield. Check out the Cumberland Covered Bridge in Matthews when you see the Gone Fishin’ Garfield. The cell phone tour only gave an introduction, and the number options for information about individual statues did not work. Overall we enjoyed it, but we’re used to road trips like this.

Fun, cheap way to spend the day. We were able to visit all 14 of the Garfields although two (Marion library and golf club) would not be accessible if you tried to go after hours since they're inside. It was a nice family adventure. Matter Park was a highlight- very impressed with the landscaping, it was absolutely beautiful. We also visited a neat covered bridge near Matthews.

I went to Gas City for work and stumbled across the Garfield Trail. I was hooked to find all of them knowing I may never get another chance. This is such a good idea, more towns should adopt something similar to promote tourism.

Many of the Garfields were shoved in a corner or in need of repair or refurbishment. Also, one was in a closed and locked building. Several were not accessible even though it said the building they were in was open. It was worth the visit, but it's obvious Garfield is a thing of the past in...
