Lapalco Village Shopping Center — Local services in Marrero

I visited the newest ROUSES MARKET located behind the Burger King at the southwest corner of Ames Blvd and Lapalco Blvd in Marrero.

I'm a regular customer at the ROUSES in the Westside Shopping Center in GRETNA and the ROUSES located between Baronne Street and Loyola Avenue, across from the Willa Jean Restaurant.

The new store is well laid out, already I recommend picking up a store directory as you walk in.

Although the parking lot is not as large as other locations, there appears to be ample space for expansion.

Another thing that I noticed is the planners took into consideration the communities located behind and just west of the store. They opened the street that is directly behind the store effectively allowing residents to drive into the store's parking lot, rather than having to spend 10 minutes or more maneuvering in and out of traffic on Ames Blvd or Lapalco Blvd. The new road also allows residents and customers access/egress directly onto Lapalco Blvd.

Considering the ROUSES family have their roots in Marrero, this store will definitely get a lot of repeat business from customers that had to spend 30 minutes (+/-) in traffic to get to another...

Open a new shell station on the corner of Laplaco n Ames. 2 pieces of chicken for 99 cents. Side are 1.99 n a nice size at that. Even have cheap breakfast. Chicken nice n crispy n big. Ate there 3 times this week. Lol no update ? Chicken now 99 cents each . Have to be careful on sides. They say they throw away after the first day. Not true. They don't eat pork n use no seasonings that we use. I watch n gravy n side kept way too long. Mac n cheese is ur best bet. Red beans n some others sides...

There are deals here and there, that's great. The prices are too high on a lot of stuff though. I know Rouse's is a household name, but households are not like they used to be 2 years ago, before the pandemic. Prices should be adjusted for the times, so families can eat before they go to sleep. I love their food, but the food is sometimes allowed to get really old, then they lower the price. Why not lower the price some before it gets to fly status lol. We go there a lot to shop.
