WARNING!!!!!! Do not go to this restaurant if you have any kind of food allergies. It's a cesspool of cross contamination. The buffet area does not have tongs for all the options. Everything shares the same tong. When ordering the broth for the hotpot don't ask questions because as my fiancée and I found out the hard way ( I have a serious seafood allergy) none of the staff understands English. We asked if the tom yun broth had seafood in it and all we got was the waitress asking "spicy?" Over and over. We Settled on the beef bone broth to play it safe since we couldn't be sure if any of the other broths had seafood in it. The broths came out and they turned on the burners and my fiancée's burner didn't work so she had to sit across and to the right of me making it awkward to hold conversations while eating. After finishing the first course we wanted to order more meat but we couldn't figure out how to work the tablet at the table so we once again tried to ask a different person for assistance and wouldn't you know they also didn't understand English. So we didn't order more and we're ready to leave we tried to ask how do we pay. Someone from the front came over and gave us our bill we paid and then brought us the receipt to sign it had what I considered the best part of the meal, little melon flavored candies. Oh forgot to add that the tongs for the table still had food on them from the guests before us. Disgusting right, yeah I know.
Do not waste your money here there are much better...
Read moreMy first time giving it a second chance at about three months four months. It has gotten much worse. The sushi is now the cheap stuff not the good stuff like some of the other buffet serve. I guess they’re trying to make people come for dinner. However, I’m going to upload a photo showing the dinner sushi already made during lunchtime which I want my sushi, fresh, my rice, hot, and my fish cold. I like the raw stuff. I don’t want to get sick. Having sushi like this not even refrigerated sitting out for a couple hours before people even start eating. It is absurd.
Some of the Chinese food was good, but I would not say it’s great or exceptional. A lot of the food looks better than it taste.
Very important for people with allergies they do not have proper Sign up for the dishes. Another picture I’m going to upload it saying Kung pow chicken when it has shrimp in it. My father is definitely allergic to shrimp and this would have killed him if he had tried to eat it.
They don’t even hire anybody to clean their parking lot. If they do nobody ever check them because I took a third picture showing the disgusting amount of trash into the drain in the parking lot.
Between sushi and allergy risks to I really feel that someone needs to call the health department. I go to Mandarin house a lot, which is even cheaper than here And they don’t make the sushi ahead of time they make it About 10 minutes before dinner...
Read moreOmbu as a whole is an entire experience! My husband and I have been to all three sides: Hot Pot, Korean BBQ, and Buffet.
Its 100% worth the price, being about $60 for 2 people (including drinks) for all you can eat, high quality and authentic Asian cuisine (with some American/Asian fusion in some areas).
Our favorite is the Korean BBQ. I would recommend the kimchi tofu soup, BBQ pork fried rice, and chicken katsu. My husband reccommends the brisket, short ribs, and garlic butter steak when it comes to meats to put on the grill.
There is an upcharge if you have leftovers that you'd like to take home with you, but its definitely a great place for date night, family get togethers or even just wanting to try good Korean food.
Also, most of their products come from the 88 Farmers Market (international store) next door, so if you want to make something at home from Ombu, you can go there to get the exact items or...
