Yaba´s Cafe — Restaurant in Louisiana

The guy that I believe owns and/or manage the business was really sweet! He helped carried my order to the car and everything! Over the top customer service! The space is awesome though! It's spacious, neat, and clean with great parking. Now, they say they open for 10:30a.m. but they don't! They arrive at about 10:45a.m. and then have to clean, prep, meet vendors, and everything else! Just open for 11:00a.m. or later it's rude and inconsiderate of your customer's time if they planned for that visit. Then when they finally arrive they still have to wait on the cooks or whomever. The yakemein is delicious but not enough to wait a hour or so later for. The burger meat is gross, and the other things were enjoyable. Again not enjoyable enough for the wait and inconsistent hours. I've been here almost every week since my first visit, they're SO GOOD! I love the atmosphere, it feels homey by the way they treat me. I love that they don't hesitate to talk to you like you're a friend and engage in conversation. They have the CLEANEST & BIGGEST oysters I've had around and I get some version of the charbroiled oysters every time, my husband loves the wings and the philly surf and turf poboy. I love the Philly surf and turf fries. The only downside is the size of the shrimp and my mother in law says she won't try it because the shrimp isn't deveined (They're the Extra small shrimp, so hard to devein). This place is incredible! Treat yourself don't cheat yourself! The menu is wide ranging with all your favorites! From steak to seafood and soo much more! So don't for the same old status questions!
