This was my first time at Rachel Blythe Studio, and I was so beyond nervous to go to a new salon and entrust someone other than my sister, whom is a hair stylist, and has been cutting and coloring my hair for over 10 years. So she understands what I want, even when I don't. Safe to say I was taking a HUGE risk! Rachel's studio was able to get me an appointment within 5 days from the day I called and made the appointment. I was greeted instantly upon walking in the front door by my stylist Bekah, and the receptionist. I had my 4 year old son with me and was so afraid I would have to hold a squirming toddler in my lap the entire time (possibly for hours). I worried he would get bored and run around the salon, and the girls would have to play babysitter all while trying to do their job. But, not only did they make my son feel comfortable, (he's extremely shy), my stylist, Bekah took him straight to the toy bin they have there in the salon for clients who have to bring their children with them, they made sure he was all set and occupied so I could sit down, relax, and enjoy my haircut. Bekah offered me refreshments and once again took my son back to get him a fancy chocolate milk and even went above and beyond and surprised him with his very own glazed donut! Needless to say he was set for the remainder of my appointment ā˜ŗļø. Bekah made sure to listen to what I told, and showed her I wanted and waited till i finished with all my un knowledgeable requests to make sure she understood what I wanted, which to me is HUGE! My biggest fear is leaving a salon being misunderstood and not getting what I wanted because I didn't know how to explain my vision. After the cut, dried and styled my hair and walked me to the front to see if I needed to book another appointment, gave me her card, and went over products with me, not in a salesperson manner. She was not pushy and clearly explained each product so I knew that I was getting what I wanted and how and when I was suppose to use it. I left feeling like a new woman! This will not only be my new salon, but doubles as a therapy session as well!

I like the salon environment — Rachel and her staff are nice and friendly. I had my first hair coloring with Rachel in March. Although I spent over $300, the result wasn’t exactly what I expected, but I still liked the overall color and style. During my second appointment, I showed her some reference photos and we discussed the color I wanted. However, after the coloring was done, my gray hairs were still clearly visible. When I asked her about it, she said she had explained this to me before and that I had agreed to leave my gray hair uncovered! and that it was just a misunderstanding in communication! I’m not sure who goes to a salon expecting to come home with their gray hair still showing after a full color service, but unfortunately, that’s what happened to me. She charged me $450 for a full foil and haircut, and told me I would need to come back again to get my roots done to cover the grays — which was really disappointing . I never come back to her salon again and prefer to go somewhere else , where it’s easier to explain what I want — even though English is my second language — and where I don’t end up losing both money and confidence !

I’ve been to many great salons! But when I received news that the one stylist (Rachel) has came back to marysville with her own Style Studio! I had to come back to visit! She was always great with my hair and always made me feel like a friend! Now that she has her own business operating here, she sure did select the BEST team to make u feel comfortable confident and super happy to come back! The Vibe is so relaxed and super chill! Just wanna have awesome laughs and Salon talk amongst great non-judgmental women; this is the spot to be!! My kids feel great coming here too!

I have gone to several high end salons over many many years and drove the distance for luxury coloring..now I have found my forever hair stylist that can do it all and she is right here in Marysville!!! Rachel is creative and ambitious and has a lot of training in many trending techniques in color and cuts and styling..she does amazing balayage and can help you achieve whatever beautiful color you are hoping to have..She provides many services that include amazing styling with fancy braiding and also specializes in natural looking hair extensions..she can give you the mermaid colors you dream of or keep it simple but still add that beautiful pearl gloss and make your hair shine..Her salon carries a variety of natural and affordable quality products for all hair types that helps you repair or maintain your hair goals! Rachel offers Oleplex to keep those high lights soft and beautiful..she is expanding her services all the time and is so generous to educate me on products that fit my hair needs..she just gave me the best henna brows today..because she can also fill in your brows temporarily or more permanent..I can not praise her enough because I am that impressed by her talent and her kindness and high energy that you want from your hair stylist!! So happy to have an amazing stylist locally but more important someone that is always learning and can really provide full service at a great rate too!! Thank you Rachel for taking care of me and giving the best...
