I dropped off a pair of boots to get new soles and heels. Was told 4-6 weeks. That’s already a pretty slow turnaround but there’s not much in the way of options around here. 6 weeks later, no phone call. I called, still not ready. I called some places in Kansas City, one said they would have a 2 week turnaround. I was ready to go pick them up and take them there but then he finally called and said they were done. I came to come pick them up during regular business hours and there was nobody in the shop. Door locked. I called the listed phone number, no answer. I figured maybe there was some extenuating circumstance, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I came back an hour later, same deal. No one in, no answer to the phone.
I finally got them back after they spent literally the entire summer on his shelf. The repair work looks ok so far, I’ll see how it looks after wearing them a while, but taking that long is just ridiculous. I’m sorry, that’s just no way to run a business.
