Palms Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Maryville

Order from Palm’s after reading the reviews and seeing all the nice things people had to say about the place, and how much they enjoyed it only to be both majorly disappointed and let down. We ordered two spicy chicken sandwich’s with fries and a hamburger steak, and off the bat when we brought it to the car something began to leak from the bags, and whether it was some kind of sauce or grease it smelled like throw up, and got all over the car, which of course caused the car to smell like throw up. Went inside to get napkins in an attempt to clean it up, and the waiting staff was kind enough to help, they looked like college kids just trying to make their money and get by, so no disrespect towards them, but as for the chef? My insults go to them. The ‘spicy’ chicken sandwich’s weren’t even spicy, and weren’t anything special either, being about as good as the ones you’d get the your local McDonald’s, and at that point we would’ve much rather eaten there. The fries were greasy and soggy, and the hamburger steak, which we asked to be cooked medium rare was given to us raw. I’m not exactly sure where the chef went wrong, or rather where they went right, but if you can’t cook then maybe you should get out of the kitchen. Waste of $46. Wouldn’t...

This is a much improvement to the "college bar" that was here! The server was top notch. The food was amazing. The speed of the kitchen was less than desirable; we were a large group though. All of our food came out at the same time. I highly recommend trying this place out. I heard nothing but compliments from my friends dinning with me.

Update 18 & 19 March It is still a place I will keep in my rotation of places to eat. That being said it has fallen from the lofty previous experiences. The fries are different, thinner and sub par. The onion rings come out missing most of their crusts. The pork on the nacho appetizers the last couple of times have been mostly fat. Sandwiches have always been spot on. Nice enough place. Clean, cool decor. Seems like a good atmosphere. Party of 6. All ordered our food. 2 meals came out in about 30 minutes. Other meals not for another 20+ minutes. Did NOT enjoy the food. Had a simple cheeseburger. Fries were cold. Mentioned it to the server who just mumbled something and walked away. Never checked on us again. Needed a refill the entire meal, was never offered. Got the bill, $92.13. Paid with $100. Only got $7 change instead of $7.87 because "they don't do coins". VERY DISAPPOINTED.
