I visited the shop yesterday to see if they had or could get in a certain dress I was looking at for the prom I'm attending. It was the first time I've stepped foot in Linde's and right away I was greeted by an older gentlemen. He asked very nicely what he could help me with and what I had in mind. I told him of the dress I was looking into and right away he checked inventory. He said how they didn't have it in but he could order it for me. He told me to feel free and browse the store in case anything else struck me since they were having a sale. The store had quite the number of dresses. While upstairs I found a dress; sadly not in my size but a size larger. The young lady showed me to a dressing room where I tried on the dress and informed me of the seamstresses the store had contact with who could help with the size issue. She also mentioned how if I rather order one in my size the store could get it in for me. I'm not a fan of strapless dresses on myself and seeing how this dress was just that I was hesitant. The lady told me how the seamstress could possibly sew on straps. My mind was made up at that point :) She asked if I needed anything else; I began browsing the jewelry. The young lady brought me into a room with a case filled with prom jewelry. She carried my dress along so I could compare the colors with the jewelry. There was a lot of sparkling pieces that was lovely and eye catching but I wanted something more subtle. I asked her if they possessed anymore jewelry and she mentioned downstairs they had bridal as well. She had another sales assistant carry my dress downstairs for them to hold at the register. Once downstairs I found a nice modest necklace and earrings set that went perfect with the dress :) Next was shoes..I unfortunately couldn't find any in store shoes I liked. But the gentlemen who greeted and helped me first informed me of looking at the site; if I found a pair to let him know the style and color and he'd order them in as soon as possible. While I was checking out he went over information I needed and gave me some business cards; also giving me the business card of the seamstress he thought best to handle my dress considering the materials and work that needed done. I was surprisingly happy and impressed with my visit. All in all I'd recommend you stop in the store and take a look around. The staff is very friendly and helpful; willing to do what they can to make you comfortable and content. If you don't see anything you like let them know and they'll do their best to find and possibly get in the...
Read moreI have been debating for a few weeks on if I should post this but here we go. I found two dresses I really liked here. I decided against getting them both because of how my appointment was. I left and was super upset. I was told on the phone I could only book appointments online and had to have an appointment to try on any bridal dresses. When I arrived the sales manager was super annoyed when my mom asked if we can see the sale room too. She literally said you can go up there but I’m not going to help you. You didn’t need an appointment if you just want to look at the cheap ones. My mom and I went upstairs to look. I did find one I really loved. I liked the idea of having two dresses, one for the ceremony and one for the reception. I went back downstairs to try on the regular price gowns. I worked with the sales manager and then had a nice younger girl helping with the zippers. The younger girl was super kind and helpful the whole time. The sales manager made multiple comments about my size. I am a street size 12. So I was about a 16-18 bridal. She made multiple comments about how she thought this next one would finally be big enough for me. She sat on the couch with my mom and partners mom multiple times so my mom would have to get up and fluff out to dress or ask for clips and clip it more. I just felt like she wasn’t kind or doing her job at all. She complained that no one in the area had money to my mom too when I was in the fitting room. There was a weird talk show playing in the background. The manager made me feel like anything and everything was a burden. I said I’m sorry but I think a size 8 was pulled can something similar be pulled and she huffed and said “i guess i can go look”. I had a better experience at another place that I didn’t have to have my mom do everything. As someone who use to work in bridal for over three years I think the way the manager acted was very rude and unprofessional. I would never have made comments about the brides size or make their family so the work so I can sit on the couch. I think that since I had to pay a $40 appointment fee I should had been helped more by her and not been critiqued for my size. Don’t get me wrong the dresses were good prices and so beautiful but the way the sales manager acted the whole appointment is what made me not buy the dresses. I’m doing two stars because the dresses were pretty and the zipper girl was super nice. I just think that kindness can go a long way and there a minimum effort was not even...
Read moreI agree Paige Lewis.. and Holly (who are both family) ...I would be giving 5 stars today too, but I have had a terrible attitude with a young lady after paying on my dress, and she already had my monies in her cash register! No attitude until after my monies was in her drawer! Rosa was awesome..!!! I came in to the store feeling depleted, after going to a few stores before and not finding the dress! I feel like Rosa was caring, she was patient, thoughtful, kind, to my girls, mother, and myself! I felt really good and was excited about my dress and we had a wonderful experience with Rosa! As My mother and I went to put my dress in layaway, my 2 daughters went to look for a prom dress. The young lady (up front ) was ringing us up and Rosa came up and told her don’t forget to scan their $100. dollar Coupon that she has on her phone. So she rings it up, takes the phone, she asks me how much am I putting down, I tell her $200. Cash, she tells me the total is $1,231.24. My mother and I both say excuse me, she repeats herself! I explain to her that I just gave her a $100 coupon.. she tells me that 80 dollars of the coupon went towards taxes.. I said ok.. but I gave you $200 dollars cash that never came off the total.... she looks at paper.. the screen.. tells me oh I’m sorry.. then says like a smartallic teenager.. very unprofessional.. too my mother and I.. she beings loudly counting out as follows One zero thirty one point twenty four.. I said well I’m writing that total on my receipt, can you write that total on that receipt please.. she said yes she was doing that. and was acting like she was writing the total down she yelled out to me! I looked at my mother because that was so rude.. the way she was talking to us.. but she already had my money... and she finally took the monies off I paid! I didn’t want it to ruin my experience and I just tried to stay away with not paying on my dress a little bit longer than I wanted.. But when I came back to look at a prom dress and pay on my wedding dress.. that’s when I found out that she not only made my day terrible.. and made me not want to come back.. and after being rude to not only me but my 70 year old mother.. she lied to us both.. I don’t like doing business like that.. this is suppose to be a special time for me.. you have a awesome consult there.. But I just...
