Run and dont look back!!!!! I have two boys who had their junior and senior proms. We ordered two $250 custom tuxes. My 16 year old tried his on first. As he was in the dressing room he texted me in the waiting area and asked for help trying on his rental tux. I asked a sales associate to help my son and he questioned me..."well what do i have to do and what does he need". I was shocked so I walked past him and went into my son's dressing room to help him myself. When he walked out of the dressing room, the tux looked like it had been picked up off the floor and had been worn to 20 proms. I was told the tuxes all come in boxes. Yeah, box to hanger! A few minutes later my 18 year old came in. He had called earlier and they told him the time he had to be there and he was. Once he was there we were told his tux did not come in! He had to go to work and I would have to make another 40 minute trip back in to pick the tux up without my son who had to work. So I picked it up later in the day and the next morning (the day before the prom), he tried it on. We almost died. This custom fit tux that was ordered several weeks earlier...the coat was three inches too short in the arms, the pants two inches too short and they were so small he could not button them, the shirt too small to be buttoned in the neck and the vest two sizes too big. I had to call into work and go with my son back to Men's Warehouse in Matthews. I was pissed. I lost a day of work and spent the entire day until 6:30 there. There were no tuxes in three stores that had a coat and pant to match and they could not guarantee the truck to deliver the replacement in time for the prom which was the next day!!!! So our only option was to buy a suit. I had my youngest son bring his crappy tux back and we purchased a suit for him as well. All seems to be working out until the next day, day of prom....Both suits needed tailoring and we were told the tailor would be there Saturday morning 8:00 am, day of prom and to pick up the suits between 11-12pm. I called Saturday morning to confirm the suits were tailored and pressed and the associate at 11:30 who took my call said the suits were not ready and the tailor had not shown up and they did not know when he would be there. I lost it! I had to leave work again and lost another day of work having to go back to Men's Warehouse in Matthews. By the time I got there the tailor was working on their suits at 12:30. We were handed the suits for the boys to try on and of course they were not pressed but completely wrinkled. Again we had to wait for them to be pressed to be worn within a couple hours of prom. The entire experience was terrible. Poor customer service and extremely rude and unprofessional. This was supposed to be a fun experience for my children and Men's Warehouse ruined the entire mood of prom for my boys. We were aggravated and rushed and late to functions and pictures that were planned for the rest of the day. We went to Men's Warehouse 5 times before we were done. While there, other customers were complaining of not being serviced, missing or sized wrong suits and tuxes. One prom kid had a white tux and the pants were white but the coat was the color of dog urine. Another man in a wedding party told us that every time he has been there they have had nothing but problems and another woman was complaining that she was missing items to her custom order tux. It is completely unacceptable the way customers are treated and the type of service they provide. And instead of being apologetic, they are rude and...
Read moreIf in this place they are considered to be proffesionals with suits then I think they have to rethink their bussiness. 0 out of 5 stars. We had our wedding at the end of April. Two weeks before we wanted to rent a suit. Staff was nice to us, acting like they know what they are doing, gave my husband try on pants and jacket to measure the sizes, so we left happy trusting the process. He prefers slim fit suit, we chose the simple black suit that was on a mannequin and was definitely slim fit. After couple days we received the call that the suit is altered according to his sizes, but once we tried it on he looked like he is going to fly away in those pants, they looked like a parachute. They felt exactly the same as the try on pants that they have there when checking the sizes. We clearly multiple times mentioned and even showed that we want the slim fit suit. There was even another kid who was trying on his pants and they were slim fit, I pointed that out to the sales man that this is how we wanted the pants to look like, but for some dumb reason it could not be done to the suit we had. Why would you even say it will be done if it cannot be done to begin with. The jacket also was too big with huge shoulder pads, looked nothing like the suit we pointed to. We also wanted white shirt with black buttons, but the one we were given had white ones. Also we chose to have a bowtie and for some reason they where out of he ones they rent even though they called us saying that everything is ready. They had full shelves stuffed with bowties, why not give one of those then, tried to rip us off saying that we have to buy one from them now. Why would we want to buy one now if we already decided to rent.🤦♀️
Thankfully they fully refunded the money paid, but still a lot of time wasted and we ended up having to buy suit anyway in a...
Read moreDO NOT COME HERE, UNWELCOMING ENVIRONMENT!! I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share our recent experience. Unfortunately, this was by far the most unpleasant customer service interaction we’ve encountered.
My husband and I came in with genuine interest and polite questions, such as simply inquiring if a smaller size was available in a package. He asked respectfully, yet the response from the brunette staff member was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. It was disheartening to witness, and the way she spoke to him genuinely made me want to cry. If she dislikes working in customer service so much, I would suggest management reconsider whether this position is the right fit for her. Speaking negatively about customers under your breath — and loud enough for them to hear — is simply unprofessional.
To make matters worse, when this employee abruptly left mid-conversation, a different employee (an older black woman) stepped in. However, rather than assisting us fully, she spent the next 15 minutes bouncing between multiple customers, making the entire interaction feel disorganized and inconsiderate. It ultimately took three separate employees for us to understand anything about the package deals, which should be a basic and straightforward part of the customer experience.
We left feeling belittled, confused, and completely unwelcome. I would strongly discourage anyone from visiting this location if they expect to be treated with basic respect. This was a 0/100 experience.
In my life i’ve never met a more respectful man than him and I just watched so many people step all over him when he came asking for help. Both of these women were working on 4/30/2025, around Midday. I would recommend management dealing with this and especially the attitude my husband received from...
