Horrible staff service. I had purchased multiple items on sale for Christmas and noticed that they hadn't taken off the full price of the sale. I came back the next day to return some items and request a price change with the receipt in hand. The lady I spoke to at the cash register was utterly rude! She made me feel like I was such a hassle from the beginning, never apologizing for the issue. She told me that only an employee with a "badge" (which I assume is the manager) could complete the price change for me, and then just paused. As if she was waiting for me to say "ok, bye!" I literally had to ask her to please CALL the manager over the intercom because she wasn't going to do it. After a few minutes of no response from the "badge" lady she told me that she didn't know where she and to just come back another time and to bring the merchandise I bought with me because I could do a price change without it. I knew this wasn't true and that she just wanted me to leave, so I asked her to just get the manager, again. While we were waiting she finished my return and mumbled that this was the "second time she had to do this today." At this point I was just stunned at how unprofessional this employee was treating me, but I was not leaving. Finally the manager showed up and wasn't rude but still made me feel like a hassle. She didn't talk much and had me show her which items I wanted to do a price change on in the store. She finally did it for me and I left.
This just took SO much longer than it should of and I will not shop at this World Market again. It was a horrible experience which is unfortunate because I enjoy shopping at the World Market. Employees should treat their customers with respect even if a stressful Holiday season. Take your...
Read moreMy hubby dropped me by to pick up an online order. (I didn’t have my ID with me. The email specifically said an ID was to be provided IF an alternate pick up person was designated. I placed the order AND had the email to show them. They refused to hand over the order. I asked to cancel since I would not be driving back to get the items. Apparently, you can cancel without any identification. The female manager was unfriendly and didn’t even ask to see the email. I never leave negative reviews, but the experience I had in this store was less than stellar. Below are the requirements in the email for store pickup. I recommend those employees familiarize themselves with their own store policy.
What to bring to the store:
Printed copy of the Ready for Pick Up email. Credit card used for the purchase. If you are picking up an order with alcohol, you MUST provide proof that you are at least 21 years of age with a valid government issued ID. If you have designated an alternate pick-up person, they must bring a valid government issued ID for all orders. Please note: We will accept returns within 60 days of purchase. Since masks are required in certain areas, we encourage you to bring your own...
Read moreI was shopping and found a great deal on a Fall item that I wanted to purchase all 11 remaining of the same item. There was a sticker there that showed the price of $3.99 and 50% off, great deal. I get to the register and it’s $2.50 each. I explain that it should be $2 not $2.50- they send a young lady to check and she pulls out a tag behind the sticker and says it shows $2.50; I said the sticker shows $3.99 and she implied that $2.50 is cheaper than the $3.99. I said yes, but the sign says 50% off. She implied she still didn’t understand. What don’t you understand??? The items should have been $3.99 and half off vs $4.99 and half off- seriously World Market Matthews you might want to find more intelligent people to work the front area than this. Honor your mistakes or lose customers, I’m just done...
