Maui Visitors Bureau — Attraction in Maui

Maui is not welcoming at all. Don’t spend thousands of dollars getting there plus thousands more while you are there , it’s not worth it. We experienced racism and micro aggressors in October 2025. I’ve been to Maui at least 5 times always great, but this year, I was stopped by the police while driving a rental vehicle and asked for my social security number outrageous! He obviously knew we were tourist, did he think we are here illegally? by the way we are honest law abiding US citizens not...

Do NOT visit Maui. We are here 6/12-6/18. The restaurants and excursions cannot accommodate all the visitors. The luaus are booked for months and the restaurants are booked and don’t take reservations. The wait is 1-2 hours for every meal. We leave the beach at 3 to wait at a restaurant at 4 to eat at 5:30-6. It has been a stressful vacation. Can’t believe I’m saying this but looking forward to leaving Maui. Totally useless. Their focus is to get anyone to Maui, but not help them when they are here. No public visibility or information Centers in tourist areas or airports.
