I placed a cake order at this bakery on Wednesday Sept 17th to have a cake made and to be ready for pick up on Friday Sept 19th. The lady that took my order quoted my price, looked at the picture of how I wanted my niece cake designed and wrote down her notes. On Friday afternoon I received a call from another store associate who had questions about my cake order. She explained that she was not clear on what her colleague had written down and so she wanted me to explain to her how to proceed with decorating my cake. I asked if it would be ok for me to come by to show her the pictures, but she stated that she was trying to go home, so asked if I could text the pictures to her phone. I did. When I arrived to pick up my cake, I noticed that the box was taped up all the way around the box with absolutely no way for me to view the cake. I then asked the store associate if she would take the tape off so that I could inspect the cake prior to purchase. She stated she could not. Standing there slightly confused, I proceeded to take the tape off myself. When I took the box off the cake, I noticed a HUGE smear across the icing on the cake. Not only that, but the price which I was initially quoted was not the amount that was on my ticket. I then asked to speak to a manager to have this issue resolved. Not only was I not happy with how this was handled, but I had also no time to have another cake prepared. The manager offered me a price reduction to what I was initially quoted, so I decided to just take that loss and hopefully, my sister or I could cover up this huge smear across the cake. Well... when I made it home to drop the cake off to my sister. She opened the box, and we were both devastated to see that this cake had literally split in half. This was a DISASTER! I woke up bright and early Saturday morning to call the bakery about this issue with the cake. I was told they would not be able to make another cake on such short notice but asked that I bring the cake back for a possibly refund. Possible?! That had not been a problem, except I live an hour away and I had to help get things situated with the party that was later this evening. I then told the associate that I would be bringing the cake back on Monday morning before I went to work. This cake was a disaster and from how it split in half, it appears as though that was the issue with the cake all along. I'm assuming the associate iced it anyway in hopes that her mishap would never be discovered. My advice to the people ordering cakes. Please do a shake test before leaving the bakery. I have ordered several 3-layer cakes in the past and have never had anything like this happen. The only good thing I can leave about this review is I was fully refunded. That being said. I hope they now enjoy this cake and whoever made it, should not be able to make cakes again. I will NEVER order a cake from...

Still trying to wrap my head around the rudeness at this store and why it's so excessive. Two cashiers were chatting at a register and told me "this one's closed, go to aisle 2!" I went to aisle 2 and there was no one working that register... Or any register for that matter. When the woman finally returned to register 2 after minutes of waiting, I told her I didn't want a bag and she began bagging my 4 items anyway. I repeated that I did not want a bag (I had my reusable bags in my car––not that it's anyone's concern), and she got angry with me!! (???) She told me it was "inappropriate for me to not take a plastic bag." She then proceeded to say stuff under her breath and be extremely condescending. There is no reason for this kind of treatment when I am spending my money at your job. Will not be returning to this...

Really like this store. Greater selection of foods not found in local hometown stores. The man who works back at the seafood Dept. Is extremely helpful with everything as well as educated on the products that are on selection. Salmon comes in fresh not frozen. So if you love salmon this is the place to go. If you are not sure on cooking procedures this is the man to ask. Sorry don't know his name but I learned a lot of valuable info from him. Large selection on fruits and vegetables that look and smell freshm store is clean and we'll kept cashier's and the ones who bag your groceries are extremely nice.,and have seen them with elders helping take groceries out and help load.
