DISHONEST AND RUDE- BUYERS BEWARE. THEY ALLOW FRUADULENT SALES OF FAKE JEWELRY. THIS IS ILLEGAL. After reaching out 2 times it took this review to get the appropriate response. While they have quite a good selection- Very DISHONEST as business owners... I moved to the area about a month ago and I have already purchased well over 1K at their location. During our last trip, October 31, I had spent another $350+ in merchandise and jewelry. While spending money the Owners and Son are super friendly and very nice, and with their high reviews, I didn't think we'd have to worry about being scammed. Well, as we were getting ready to walk out I subconsciously asked if their policy protected their customers from fraud/illegally marked Jewelry Fake coins in the off chance (so I thought) we purchased some fake silver (9 pieces that day). They abruptly changed their tune..The older woman, owner, got real huffy and immediately called her son up front to respond for her... huge red flag- and how he responded was quite rude, telling me they still would not accept the return as their policy states... and brushed me off and just walked away. To be clear, this policy is true only in instances where there is not fraud involved- i.e. Buyers remorse, basically all other instances. This is a common misconception among buyers, and shady establishments take advantage of their customers as they did here, and most just accept it...I can tell you that any establishment that allows this is sorely mistaken. I encourage everyone to do their research. If I took them to small claims, they'd be giving me my money back. You would expect them to know that " NO RETURNS/ AS IS WHERE IS and NO REFUNDS doesn't mean it's a free for all to sell fraudulent and Illegally marked items. To be clear, any establishment that reacts this way obviously either knows what they are doing and doesn't care or doesn't know and should, and is supposed to give a refund as the law implies. A reputable establishment would take care of their customers. If I sold any fake coins, Jewelry or other commonly faked items at my auctions (Auction House 282) I would not treat any of my paying customers the way they treated us and I would hold my consignors accountable and give the customer a refund. (You'd think they'd like to keep us as customers as we do tend to fill up carts every trip) Not only does this hurt their reputation, but their vendors and consignors. We tend to frequent most locations weekly and this is a huge loss on their part- in about a month we shopped there at least 4 times and spent well over a grand and now treated us so rudely over about 70 dollars in jewelry? Anyway, I called and spoke to the woman owner the same day and explained that I tested all the jewelery and all of it was fake. It should have been an easy decision for an owner, but she just took my number and brushed it off as they did in-store.
Appears to me that they do not care about their paying customers and had it been more than it was, we'd be taking them to small claims court. BUYER BEWARE! Vendors and Consignors here sell fake 925 marked Jewelry and they apparently allow it. UPDATE: In response to the false claim I was bullying your staff, I spoke directly and asked simple question that should have been answered appropriately and without the sacastic unprofessional interaction upon asking the question. "Your Team" as you put it, rudely responded to a simple question and walked away immediately upon being told and I quote "we have a no return policy". Not very professional and doesn't leave much room for discussion when it was needed. After I called back, The lady on the phone which I recorded, gave the same runaround and quickly blew me off. Again, this should have been an simple answer, instead we were told otherwise. Yes, I went with my gut based off of YOUR actions in person. I definitely will not do business people who act so Unprofessionally. 20+ years experience you'd say? you'd expect to be given the right answer & without attitude. It took the review to get the...
Read moreIf I could give more than 5 stars, I would give a million! I have about 7 thrift store/ vendor mall/ gift store type places that I visit on a fairly regular basis. The Ark is my favorite. The staff are really amazing people! Staff members are polite, warm and welcoming, honest, friendly, helpful, and respectful. I am a big fan of how inclusive and non discriminatory this place is, definitely an A+ on that. It's absolutely welcoming to everyone, and I love that! The whole store is well lit, clean, well monitored, easy to walk through, and beautifully organized. No tiptoeing around, worrying you're going to bump into something and break it. No funky smells. No feeling like you need to wash your hands when you leave. This is refreshing because so many other flea markets and thrift stores in this area tend to be quite cramped, dim, and dirty. The prices are very affordable. They're not garage sale prices, but I wouldn't expect that from vendors who work so hard anyway. Their items are worth every penny, and I often see items priced far lower than they would be elsewhere. A lot of the items throughout the store are retro/vintage/antique, very cool, and excellent quality second-hand treasures. But they also have a vast assortment of new items, and so many incredible hand crafted items, too. These folks, the store owners and staff, and all the vendors, they really put their heart and soul into what they have here. And it shows. It is very obvious when you start exploring just how special this store is. I highly recommend dropping by next time you're in McPherson. Better yet, just plan a day trip. Because you're going to want to take your time here to see everything they have to offer. It's a one-stop shop for anything you'd need for gifting to your friends and family for any occasion. And you're definitely going to want to buy yourself a few little treats! Stop in and go treasure hunting here ASAP! You won't find a better place in the area, maybe not even in the...
Read moreThis establishment discriminates against people who have disabilities. I and my wife (she has a medical condition that doesn't let her wear normal shoes.) We went into this store. And We forgot to bring her slippers with us. On March 17th 2025 at 4:45 pm. Approximately she was asked to leave the store. (And on Friday march 14th 2025 my wife had been in that establishment with her brother and sister-in-law without shoes on then and nothing was said at that time about her not wearing shoes.) (By the way there was NO sign posted about no shoes anywhere) when we tried to explain the man how owns this store would not even listen or take the time to understand her issues. My wife also suffers with high anxiety and she almost collapsed outside because of his attitude and the way she was treated. We will never do business with this establishment ever. So make sure if you have any kind of disability that you be careful when dealing with this...
